I DARE YOU! A LETTER FROM PASTOR RYAN Adrienne and I helped to start Palm Valley Church 16 years ago. The church had no money, no land, no buildings, and no members... but we had faith! It was a daring faith; one that was ready for action and willing to risk everything for the glory of God. Jesus said, According to your faith, it WILL be done unto you! (Matthew 9:29) Palm Valley Church is a living example that God keeps his promises! At PVC we have a legacy of faith and trusting God for miracles. I am asking you to join us all in a Faith-Raising Campaign. You may have heard of a fund-raising campaign before, but this is different. In the next couple of pages you will see what I believe God has called Palm Valley Church to accomplish over the next three years. I call it our 2020 Vision. This is no small task. In fact, when you first look at it, you might think it s impossible. This is about more than everyone doing their absolute best to become the most loving, giving, healthy church in the world. We could try to do all that, but we would still fall short of what God has called us to... unless He shows up and puts his SUPER on our natural. That is why this campaign is all about faith; a Daring Faith! I am challenging everyone to take some daring steps of faith in three areas: Grow, Sow, Go. GROW IN FAITH: A plan to help you mature in faith SOW IN FAITH: A plan to teach you to give by faith GO IN FAITH: Opportunities to practice living by faith Because we are a purpose driven church, everything we do is based on God s five purposes for the church given in the Great Commandment and Great Commission. So in each campaign we always have a project for every purpose. In this brochure, you can see that our five goals for Daring Faith will enable us to: Keep growing stronger through WORSHIP. Keep growing warmer through FELLOWSHIP. Keep growing deeper through DISCIPLESHIP. Keep growing broader through MINISTRY. Keep growing larger through EVANGELISM. The opportunities before us have never been greater, and I have never been more excited about our future. NOW IS THE TIME FOR DARING FAITH! Will you join us on this courageous journey? You have not really trusted God until you have attempted to do something you cannot do on your own strength. I DARE YOU to let God show you how much He can do in your life when you trust Him more!

OUR HISTORY OF DARING FAITH & LOVING SACRIFICE Palm Valley Church has a 16-year track record of attempting great things for God and expecting great things from God, becoming a model for other churches around the world. Every program and ministry you see at your Palm Valley campus today was made possible by the sacrificial giving of ordinary people who became faith heroes through their generosity. In order to give a special offering and make multi-year faith commitments during previous campaigns, some people have sold homes and bought smaller ones giving the equity. Others gave pension plans, stock portfolios, life insurance, inheritances, and even wedding rings. Many canceled vacations and other expenses in order to give. Still others took on second jobs in order to contribute. Get in the Game (2002) Facilitated the move from Palm Valley Cinemas, our first meeting place, to Desert Edge High School. Seize the Moment (2008) Purchased land in Buckeye, intended for one large permanent facility. (Before multi-site strategy) Greater Things (2010) Purchased our current Goodyear Campus. Beyond (2012) Launched our first multi-site campus in Buckeye. Today, as we prepare for our fifth and greatest campaign, we see the incredible things that God has accomplished when a group of people have a daring faith in God and a willingness to sacrifice for something greater than themselves. We celebrate our history with deep humility and gratitude, but we believe the best is still to come! God is now calling each of us as individuals and all of us, as a church family, to step up to another level of faith and deeper trust in Him. This fifth campaign, DARING FAITH, will require the largest, riskiest, and most sacrificial steps of faith we ve ever taken. However, just as God has enabled us in the past, He will do so again! Let s get started!

WHAT IS DARING FAITH? Daring Faith is a 36-month plan to empower both YOU and OUR CHURCH to grow in faith like never before. We will make commitments in three areas: Grow, Go, Sow. GROW IN FAITH: A plan to help you mature in faith SOW IN FAITH: A plan to teach you to give by faith GO IN FAITH: Opportunities to practice living by faith We are not just making commitments, we are taking a journey. This 36-month campaign kicks off with a six-week teaching series. Regardless of where you are starting, our hope is that by the end of six weeks, God will have grown and stretched your faith. Here is what you can expect in the first six weeks: Six Weekend Messages on Faith Weekly Memory Verses Daily Podcasts Six Video Based Small Group Lessons Participation and Alignment with PVC Kids & PVC Students Verbal & Written Testimonies of other Church Members and Attendees These resources and more can be found at Palmvalley.org/DaringFaith. KEY DATES: Daring Faith Kickoff February 18/19 First message in the series. Small Group study & memory verse bookmarks available. Small Groups Begin February 19 Small Groups begin meeting this week. Commitment Devotional March 20-25 Take time this week to work the Commitment Devotional Guide so you are prepared for Commitment Weekend. Commitment Weekend March 25/26 Attend service prepared to make your faith commitments. As part SOW, we will collect an initial gift along with your 36-month Daring Faith commitment. Celebration Weekend April 1/2 Arrive early and celebrate commitment results, baptism, and life change stories!

MAKING FAITH COMMITMENTS In order to accomplish our 2020 Vision, will ALL have to rely on God and take some steps of faith in each of the areas below. EVERYONE can do SOMETHING in each area. A Commitment Devotional has been provided to assist in determining these commitments. We would encourage you to sit down as an individual, couple, or family the week of March 20 so that you are prepared for commitment weekend on March 25/26. GROW Our spiritual journey is full of faith steps. It begins with our first step: starting a relationship with God. Where do you need to GROW? Is it a step of commitment to become a member of PVC or to develop the habit of reading the Bible? During this campaign, we want to help you identify your next step as a follower of Christ. Become a Regular Attendee Take the Fresh Start Class Start Reading the Bible Daily Start Spending Time in Prayer Daily Get Baptized Take the Core Classes Become a Member (Class 101) Join or Continue Attending a Small Group Take a Discipleship Class to Better Understand the Bible or How to Study It Share Your Faith With At Least One Person Discover Your Unique SHAPE to Serve Invite Others to Church SOW There is a financial component to this campaign, just like there is a financial component to our faith. God wants us to trust Him with every area of our lives. When we put our resources in His hands, the Church, He will accomplish more than we could ever do with it on our own. This ladder can help you think about what step of faith you should take. Then, we ask you to get very specific with your commitment on March 25/26. This includes an initial financial gift, along with a 36-month commitment. FEARLESS PROGRESSIVE TITHING PERCENTAGE CONSISTENT Generosity will mark my life! I will begin giving more than 10% of my income I will begin giving 10% of my income I will begin giving a percentage of my income I will begin giving Consistently GO Faith without works is dead. God does not save and mature us so we can sit on the sidelines. What do you need to GO do with your faith?
