MADISON SQUARE INCREASES SUPPORT TO OUR MISSIONARIES Following is a letter that your Global Missions Team sent to our missionaries just before Christmas: Greetings to our precious missionary families! We thank God and wanted to let you know of a decision the Missions Team at Madison made last night at our meeting. Starting in January, we will be sending your check at the beginning of each month, and it will be for $350 (instead of $300) each month. Several years ago, we set a goal of serving twelve missionary families, and increasing the support we give each one, so we are beginning to fulfill that goal. Also we wanted to let you know that you may be hearing from Kinita Schripsema about how the Lord is leading her to be a spiritual resource to our missionaries. Her email is kinitaathome@att.net, if you wish to contact her. You are in our prayers and we hope and pray that you will have a joy-filled Christmas! With love, The Madison Square Church Global Missions Team Our missionaries responded with gratitude for the increase in our gifts to them and for our prayer support. So we pass their thanks on to you, our congregation who support them! THANKS! DEACON and ELDER NOMINATIONS Dear Madison, It is the time of the year for the congregation to submit nominations for Deacons and Elders. We are asking you, over the next few weeks, to consider those in our midst who you feel are called to serve in these roles, and, with their approval, submit their names to Lori Robbins at 245.7791 ext. 202 or lrobbins@madisonsquarechurch.org, or fill out a nomination form at the Information Center. If you are approached by someone requesting to nominate you, please seriously consider this important service to the body of Christ. Agreeing to be nominated does not commit you to serving; it is only an acknowledgment that you know of no major obstacles to serving. Nominees will be given further information and appropriate time to pray over this decision. For more information on the process and the roles of Deacons and Elders, pick up the Deacons and Elders Update at the Information Center. Thank you for your commitment to our church!
