~ PREFACE ~ Every day, we are all engaged in battles and skirmishes as part of a greater spiritual war. Our very survival depends on our knowledge of the true enemy. ~ Colonel Joseph J. Frazier, U.S. Army (Retired) This book is dedicated to everyone who truly understands the meaning of fighting the good fight. That is to say, fighting for the things that are just, pure, lovely, of good report, virtuous, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8). It is written as a rallying call for true leadership; leaders willing to open their eyes to truth and speak out on injustice wherever and in whatever form it is found. Leaders who understand strategy and can see the strategic maneuvering of forces that are willing to destroy the things of this world that are wholesome, decent, and civil - for their own gain. Leaders that understand the Apostle Paul s statement, this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God (Philippians 1:9-11). This book is about a lost dimension of leadership. It is the dimension that writers of leadership books refuse to take on. Mostly because of their lack of understanding of this dimension and partly out of fear of the politically correct secular and religious academic communities. For this dimension of leadership revolves around a complete walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7) discipline only understood by a transformed mind (Romans 12:2). It is the spiritual dimension of leadership. You see, the world is engaged in the greatest war campaign ever devised. It is a war fought on the spiritual level as well as the physical level across all of humanity. It is war so complicated in its execution that its comprehension is out of reach for most people and they are swept away as collateral damage by the war. It is a war controlled by unseen forces that revealed themselves as human behaviors, attitudes, and verbal responses. Purely through the power of influence, these forces manipulate the human mind; the center of cognitive thoughts, logic, and reason, to influence decisions and choices toward good or bad and right or wrong. But only leaders who understand the spiritual dimension of leadership can resolve the complicated issues unleashed in this campaign. This is not science fiction. It is an active presence of spiritual warfare that the world no longer understands. Why? Because most of humanity has lost the ability of discernment ; the ability to understand right from wrong and good from evil on the spiritual level. This book explains this lost ability and the reason why it is lost in detail. This book will help one connect the dots between spiritual and physical warfare. For now, try to understand that this campaign has a leader; a superior strategist with ambitious goals. Furthermore, this leader controls the greatest military ever organized. The leader of this military operates from a place of obscurity while his forces operate worldwide to strategically maneuver towards a final decisive battle. In fact, the war campaign s intensity has increased for centuries, but distractors have strategically obstructed humanity from seeing the war s true devastation and destruction. The Bible confirms these distractors as earthly wars and rumors of wars (Matthew 24:6; Mark 13:7), the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, the desires for other things, and the pleasures of life (Matthew 13:22; Mark 4:18; Luke 8:14). This book exposes 3

how these distractors combine to disguise how every act of violence, negative thought, and hateful word interconnects to form the foundation of spiritual warfare. One will learn how every negative act strategically furthers the advancement of the war campaign while positive behaviors seek to counter their effects. The negative force s strategy and these distractors work together to keep the masses of humanity confused, frustrated, afraid, divided, and in chaos as civility deteriorates in society and worldwide. I hope this has whet your appetite. My goal is to present a reality that many secular and religious groups desire to filter, change, or keep hidden. My primary objective is to clearly identify what spiritual warfare is. You see, I have invested years of study trying to unravel this campaign. God knows it has not been an easy task. However, it has been a worthy task. Even King Solomon of the Bible, took on this task as he faithfully recorded that he set his,...heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all that is done under heaven; this burdensome task God has given to the sons of man, by which they may be exercised (Ecclesiastes 1:13). Now, I offer what I have learned from this burdensome task with confidence. I have tried to write this book from a layman s view of the Bible without the aid of commentaries, men's interpretation of every Biblical word, or theological lexicons of Hebrew, Greek, or other study aides. Thus, I present this book as a leader fighting a battle providing direction to his soldiers clear and concise. This book analyzes the issues of this world to reveal the unseen forces that are actually driving them. It takes a critical look at what the religious and secular world misunderstands about good and evil and provides clarity. I believe that both good and evil are competing opponents of a great war campaign that began years beyond humanity s memory. It is a war that results from a natural crisis within man himself when knowledge and discernment are discarded out of ignorance. Figure 1 on page 3 of this book provides an illustration of the scale on which the competing forces of the war balance. In the middle of the scale are the resources these forces complete for. This book will explain this scale in detail and the knowledge will expose a Truth that will help one survive the war campaign. This book explains what I have learned through years of research. I believe God Himself provided mankind a source document that explains the war campaign and spiritual warfare in its totality. Yes, I am referring to the Bible in which the Psalmist stated, Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105). To my knowledge, this Book is the only ancient writing that proclaims that God,...desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). Based on my personal experiences in life, I believe that there is a Truth for the existence of all things. When Jesus proclaimed, If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:31-32), He laid out that Truth in His Gospel message. However, a brilliantly conceived and orchestrated war campaign developed by another master strategist has distorted and hidden this Truth from the public. If you will keep reading, I promise that you will discover some fascinating things that you may have never considered in your lifetime. In addition, I will show you the answer to the world s problems and demonstrate that there is a solution. I am not saying the solution is simple, but I am saying that there is a solution if one is willing to listen. Here is an appetizer for what one will learn from this book. In spiritual warfare, just like physical warfare, one can never expect to defeat an enemy if he or she does not know who the enemy is. To defeat ones enemy, one must know: 4

Who the enemy is What his or her capabilities What motivates him or her to fight Without a knowledge of these key elements, there is no hope for defeating an anonymous enemy. The world today, as from times beyond man s memory, is engaged in a fight with an anonymous adversary simply because most of humanity has rejected what can be known. Without further delay, I would like to thank all my family and extended family for their support and interest in this book. I have spent countless hours pondering, studying, and writing this book, but the time has been worth it. Much of my time was preoccupied with thoughts that I hasten to capture on paper before distractors attempted to consume them. I never realized the reality of the war campaign s tactics until I sat down to pen something good, wholesome, and true. To my immediate family, although my time away has been long, I believe God will and has already rewarded and cared for you in my time of mental and physical absence. We have never suffered times of need and the Lord has provided at every opportunity. To my wife Allegra, I personally thank her with all my heart because the Lord knew the right match for me as my helpmate. The Bible records, He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord (Proverbs 18:22). I can truly attest to the Truth of this proverb. To my daughter Mariah and fiancé Mike; son Joseph and wife Karen; and my spiritually adopted daughter Jetera and husband Bradley, I pray that each of you will always Draw near to God and He will draw near to you... (James 4:8). Your mom and I have given you our best. You are now responsible adults facing the war campaign on your own. To our granddaughters Kianna and Koi, we will continue to pray that they are reared,...up in the training and admonition of the Lord... (Ephesians 6:4) in this sinful world. Finally, to my entire church family and all my friends, I pray this book will help you in some way understand the common trials of life that we all experience and how to overcome them. Joseph (J.J.)
