DID YOU KNOW SAVE THE DATE.. St. Bernard Parish Service Sunday! October 14 after the 10:00 am Mass. Come one, come all to an hour of Service! Volunteers Needed! CASA of the Fox Cities is accepting applications for its fall advocate training session which will begin on September 11 and run on Tuesday evenings from 5:30-9:00 pm. Our volunteers work directly with abused and neglected children. The primary role of our advocates is to build and maintain a relationship with their assigned child through weekly onehour visits and provide a voice for that child in the court system as decisions are made about their future. This is truly a unique opportunity to make a profound impact in the life of a child in the most difficult of circumstances. The need is great. There are so many children in the Foster Care system right now that could use your help. If you share our passion for helping children, please consider attending one of the following upcoming informational sessions to learn more: Monday, July 30, 12pm-1pm Thursday, August 16, 12pm-1pm All sessions will be held in Suite 306 of the Abby Bank Building, 1500 N Casaloma Drive in Appleton. ADULT EDUCATION Revelation: The Kingdom Yet to Come by Jeff Cavins and Thomas Smith Revelation: The Kingdom Yet to Come is an intriguing study that shows how the kingdom established by Christ in his Church is intimately connected with the kingdom of heaven. Here you will discover what the mysterious figures and images of Revelation mean. You will see how Revelation is more than an apocalyptic vision of the "end times." It is a revelation of God as our Divine Bridegroom and the Church as his spotless Bride, forever united in a heavenly, holy, and mystical marriage that we enter into every time we celebrate the Mass. Join us Monday nights starting July 16 th at 6:00 pm in the Small Group Room. To register, please sign up in our Narthex at the Welcome Counter, or call Colleen at 739-0331. THANK YOU St. Bernard Pastoral Council wishes to thank everyone who participated in the Retirement Party for Father Dennis Ryan. A Special Thank You to those who worked to make the party so awesome. The Liturgy and Music were beautiful. We won t forget the program that made everyone smile. Thank you to the volunteers and staff who served on the planning committee, set up our Parish Hall and the tents, created beautiful decorations, made dozens of cookies and bars, cooked and served delicious egg rolls, welcomed and assisted people, took photos and a video, provided great kid s activities, and cleaned after our event. Everyone made it a wonderful party for Father Dennis and our Parish Members. Father Dennis Sister Sent this Note. I am Dennis s sister.. Mary Beth. I just wanted to reach out and say Thank you on behalf of our whole family for the wonderful celebration that the Parish put together for Dennis. It was extremely heartwarming to see the love that everyone expressed, and all the hard work that was put into making it so special. We were honored to be able to attend. From my siblings, to our kids, to Dennis, we were all overwhelmed. Dennis stopped over last night (we are so excited to have him hin Green Bay) and he was still smiling about how amazing it was. Thank you so much. We will not forget your kindness. We appreciated the pictures and videos to share with our Mom, as she so wanted to be there. Happy 4th. Have a wonderful summer. Hoping all goes well with your new Pastor.
