Holy Trinity Parish November 12, 2017 Thirty-Second Sunday in Ordinary Time

HOLY TRINITY PARISH NOVEMBER 12, 2017 LIGONIER, PA Christian Mothers Bake Sale Holy Trinity Christian Mothers will be sponsoring their annual Bake Sale this weekend before and after all Masses. This is their ONLY fundraiser for the year. Please help these wonderful ladies make this a successful event. Thank you in advance for your support. Thanksgiving Baskets We Need Your Help We will be preparing Thanksgiving Baskets for those less fortunate in our community on Sunday, November 19. Community Service will provide a basic Thanksgiving meal (turkey, potatoes, stuffing, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, vegetables and a pumpkin pie). We are asking parishioners to bring non-perishable food items to help fill these baskets. Many of these families struggle this time of year so we would like to provide them with some additional groceries to help them through the holiday season. Some suggestions (but not limited to): soup, applesauce, peanut butter, jelly, cereal, fruit, spaghetti sauce & pasta, cookies, candy, snack items (crackers, chips, pretzels, etc.), macaroni & cheese, pancake mix & syrup, cake mix & frosting, brownie mix, etc. Please help us make bountiful baskets by bringing your non-perishable food to the Atrium on Saturday, November 18 after 12 PM and to the Social Hall on Sunday, November 19 prior to 11 AM. Also, to insure the safety of our recipients please make sure that the expiration dates on your food items are current. Please help make Thanksgiving a true blessing again this year for those less fortunate. In your charity please pray for the soul of: Stephen Bud Stas, cousin of our Parishioner Bobbie Cramer and her husband Clarence. Mr. Stas passed recently. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Holy Trinity Parish 342 W. Our Church strives to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ by providing a Catholic education for our youth, on-going education for adults, training for our leadership, and encouraging our members to discover and use their God-given talents. Our mission is continually realized by being a worshiping community, united and nurtured by the sacraments, scripture and prayer, as we celebrate God's saving grace. Our mission is further realized by fostering a sense of unity and social awareness of each other in good times and in bad, and joining other parishes in the Valleys to spread the Gospel.
