Contributors G. S. ROWE, an Assistant Professor of History at the University of Northern Carolina, earned his Ph.D. degree at Stanford University. The subject of his dissertation was a biography of Thomas McKean, which he is currently expanding. JACOB E. COOKE, John Henry MacCracken Professor of History at Lafayette College, is the author of several books and articles on American history and Associate Editor of the Papers of Alexander Hamilton. He is currently writing a life of Tench Coxe. ROBERT GOUGH, a graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania, is at present serving in the Army. His article is based on a seminar paper. ROGER A. BRUNS has worked for the National Historical Publications Commission since receiving his M.A. degree at the University of Arizona in 1967.
