Nuccio www.cavallarocouncil.com GRAND KNIGHT S MESSAGE Brother Knights In my last post I wrote about how Cavallaro was to have a busy month of April. I am pleased to announce Cavallaro Council has received three (4) new fourth (4 th ) degree members, Sir Knights - Dea. William Kelly, Daniel Kelly, Anthony Bianco, and Kevin Regan. Another milestone event took place to celebrate the council s 58 th Anniversary on April 22, 2018 at Sircos Catering Hall, honoring a gentleman from Saint Athanasius Parish, Mr. Sal Iacullo. It was a success. I wish to thank my planning committee, S.K. Chris La Salle Ticket Chair, S.K. Scott O Donnell Raffle Chair, SK PGK Carl Bartolotti and S.K. PGK Robert Vezzuso Journal Chairmen. But I am just saddened that not many brother knights observed the Anniversary of this milestone as this is the council s only yearly fund raiser we would like to do more, but without your help it cannot be done. It would be much appreciated to see more of the council members share their quality expertise to make the council more successful and help generate and strengthen with it new ideas. I know we have many talented brothers and the council can use your work and practice. I am never one to rest on my laurels. I am just grateful for the small things we do but would like to do much more planning on doing in the coming year. I know we have great members with professional backgrounds as to what options we can take to do fund raising all year long. You know our goal is Continued on Page 5

4 8 8 4 Council News MOTIONS / RESOLUTIONS Motion by: FS News: My Brother Knights Congratulations to our 4 newest Sir Knights. Brothers Anthony Bianco, Daniel Kelly, Dea. William Kelly, and Kevin Regan took their 4th Degree on Sunday, April 8, 2018. That brings the number of 4th Degree members in our council to 38. Approximately 1/3 of our roster are Sir Knights. If you are not a 4th Degree member yet, consider becoming one. See me on any meeting night for an application. The exemplification happens twice a year. Volunteers needed for Saturday hours from 10:am to 11:30 am to pick up food and bring it to Brighten 4 th and 5 th streets for feeding the homeless.
