Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church As a parish of the Catholic Diocese of Charleston, Our Lady of Grace seeks to know and share God s Word, live as a community of Christian disciples, devoutly celebrate the Holy and other sacraments, provide a prayerful environment for all people, and serve the poor and those in need in Christ s Name. In this way of life, Our Lady of Grace Parish looks to Mary of Nazareth as its model and patron. Thank you, Doctor Hahn, for visiting Team Grace! The Most Rev. Robert E. Happy Sunday, Team Grace! FROM FATHER KIRBY Today we celebrate Laetare Sunday. The word laetare is La<n for rejoice, and so we can just as well call this Rejoice Sunday! And the Church calls us to do just that rejoice! We are to rejoice because the work of our salva<on is at hand. Rejoice! Due to the fes<ve nature of Rejoice Sunday, the Church asks for a tempering of the Lenten violet. In place of purple, therefore, you may have no<ced that we used rose vestments this weekend. The rose color is meant as a summons to each of us to rejoice! Some things happening around the parish: This Thursday ajernoon and Friday morning, the Parish Office will be closed due to staff development and annual planning. Please note the <mes in this bulle<n. Please also pray for our staff as they spend this <me in training and in discussion over on the parish calendar for next year. In speaking of staff, I d like to welcome Bart Haines to the staff of Team Grace! Bart is in training as our new Director of Buildings and Grounds. He brings extensive experience in maintenance and opera<ons with him to the job. Welcome, Bart! As Bart transi<ons into his new posi<on, Ryan Kiniry is being promoted and will serve as our new Parish Projects Manager. As you can see from around our campus and buildings, we have a lot going on! And there is so much more that we want to do on our campus and so much more that we will need to do on our future second campus. In order to properly facilitate and supervise these various projects (and future ones), we need a staff member who can focus solely on these tasks. And, as we ve seen in his other parish du<es, Ryan is the person to do it! And so, I m happy that he is willing to take on this new posi<on. Thank you, Ryan! More updates next week. Let us pray for one another! TwiWer/fatherkirby frkirby@gracewepray.org
