He has served as a Pastor and Transitional Pastor since the mid-1980s. He has also served as a Professor of Preaching and Pastoral Ministries for several schools which include Luther Rice Seminary where he headed up the Doctor of Ministry Program from 2007 until 2015. Enrollment for the Doctor of Ministry program is limited to 10 students.
