HOLY SPIRIT PARISH / PARROQUIA DEL ESPÍRITU SANTO How can I give to the Called to Serve as Christ campaign? Selecting the best gift plan depends on one s personal financial situation and goals. Gifts made by cash, check, credit card or Electronic Fund Withdrawal (EFT) are the most common and will allow the Archdiocese to address its immediate needs. Checks should be made payable to the Called to Serve as Christ campaign. Gift intentions are made in good faith and are not legally binding. Archbishop Sartain is encouraging all donors to consider stretching your gift over a three-year period to maximize the total amount of your support. Your commitment can be fulfilled through monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual installments. If you wish, you can give to the campaign gifts of stock, real estate, life insurance and other planned gift opportunities. As tax laws are always changing and everyone s situation is unique, donors are encouraged to consult with financial advisors to determine which method of contributions is most beneficial to them. The archdiocesan Stewardship and Development Office can assist you with making the necessary arrangements for such gifts. Contact campaign@seattlearch.org or 206-903-4620. All are welcome to a reception following Mass, with ethnic foods and beautiful displays of our saints, provided by the cultural communities of the Archdiocese of Seattle. TWENTY-EIGHTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME VIGÉSIMO OCTAVO EN TIEMPO ORDINARIO Praying for fthe Dead Prayer for the dead is an essential component of our Catholic faith. Our Catholic cemeteries offer many opportunities for you to gather in prayer for all of our beloved dead. You may not be aware that Mass is offered every month at our cemeteries. These monthly opportunities provide us time to gather in prayer to remember and give thanks for all those who have died and especially those buried at the cemetery. These Masses are offered indoors and out of the weather. Contact us for dates and times of these Masses in English and Spanish. We also offer Mass on special occasions such as Memorial Day Weekend and on the Feast of All Souls in November. Every year at Calvary Cemetery, on Holy Thursday, our Faith Community remembers in prayer those priests and permanent deacons who have served our Archdiocese and "who have gone before us marked with the sign of faith." If you are interested in attending one of our services, let me know and I'd be happy to send you a yearly schedule of our Mass days and times.
