*The Prayer of Dedication (In Unison) Gracious God, all that we have comes as a gift from you. With thanksgiving for your bountiful goodness, we dedicate ourselves and our resources to the work of your kingdom. Teach us to serve one another. In Christ, you have conquered the power of sin and death and opened the way to abundant new life. Speak to us in this time of worship and fill us with your Spirit. Help us to recognize the gifts that you have given us. Help us to use our freedom responsibly and faithfully, through the grace of Christ. Amen. Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church 201 E. Please pass them to the side aisles.) *The people will rise in body or spirit

The Prayer of Confession (In Unison) Liberating God, your love for us, shown in Jesus Christ has set us free. But sometimes we misunderstand and misuse that freedom. We see it as an excuse to do whatever we want, to go chasing after whatever we desire, rather than following your will. We do things we regret, we get jealous of others, we do not accept the gifts of other people. In short, we don t love our neighbor as we do ourselves. Forgive us, Lord. Set us free again, free to be your people. Amen. Merry Meloy The Church Responds *The Affirmation of Faith - Apostles' Creed (In Unison) I believe in God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen. The Prayers of the People and Lord s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. The Offertory Invitation God calls us into community. God calls us to share our resources so that others may know Christ s grace and love. May our offerings honor the one who gives us all that we have. Please sign and pass the Friendship Registers located near the center aisle. Thank you! The Offertory Piano Offertory Chuck Davey *The Congregation Sings in Response #478 Praise, My Soul, the King... July First Sunday Mission Offering Our First Sunday Mission Offering in July goes to the McKee Memorial Fund to support the work of PCUSA mission co-worker Dr. Barbara Nagy. A boardcertified physician in both pediatrics and internal medicine, Barbara serves at Nkhoma Hospital in Malawi. She directs children s health services at the hospital, teaches medical and nursing students, and has become increasingly engaged in finding ways to provide basic health education and preventive medicine (such as vaccinations and prenatal care) to local villages and communities. Barbara says I feel God has called me to live out the gospel of his love for everyone by working in a healing ministry in central Malawi, where death and disease limit the lives of fellow Christians and keep them from attaining all God intended for them. Malawi is one of the most densely populated nations in sub-saharan Africa. The country is very poor; 73% of the population lives below the poverty line. Most Malawians are subsistence farmers. Their challenges include poor access to education, endemic malaria, malnutrition, extremely high maternal mortality, and the spread of HIV/AIDS. Seventy-five percent of the population is Christian. Many are Presbyterian. To help support Barbara s work, simply use the envelope marked McKee Missions Offering in the July section of your envelope booklet or use a First Sunday Mission Offering envelope from the pew racks. Thank you! Got Dessert? Saint Andrews needs a few good bakers. We are supplying desserts for Meals on Wheels for the month of July.
