During our morning service we have Youth and Children s groups, please let us know if you need information about these or you have any other queries before, during or after the service. Our welcome team are around to assist in any way we can. After the morning service we have a Welcome Desk in the foyer that serves tea, coffee and biscuits where you can discover more about the church, its events and activities. We hope you will feel at home here today. If you have any items you would like included in the prayers in the services, please give them to the person at the welcome table in the foyer before the morning service. If you would like someone to pray with you at the close of the service, please come down to the front of the church.

May we begin the new month with trust in the newness He brings to us each day. Let us come close to our Father today. May we remember once again that we are precious Sons and Daughters of God. May that bring peace and comfort to the anxious. May it bring courage and strength to the weak. May it change the way we live our lives this day Ministry of the week: Pray for our connect lunch today. Pray that those who attend would receive a warm welcome and feel that they belong to our church family here at NCBC. Street of the week: Pray for all those people living in The Moorings. Why not prayer walk the street as you pray? Continue to pray for the Brexit negotiations as we draw very close to the exit date. Pray that God s hand will be in it all and calm will reign. Let us pray for the Encounter evening tonight. May those who attend be truly blessed by an encounter with the Lord and be moved to spread this blessing to others. Please continue to pray for the important work of the Alpha Course as they meet tonight. Pray that lives will be changed forever by what they hear and experience at these sessions. Haggai 2:9. The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house, says the Lord Almighty. And in this place I will grant peace, declares the Lord Almighty. Let us come with expectant hearts and renewed trust, unto our God. Pray for Messy Church, taking place today. Pray for the volunteers who faithfully run this amazing service for the community. May they be strengthened and blessed as they carry out this important work for the Lord. Street of the week: Pray for all those people living in New Mills Yard. Why not prayer walk the street as you pray? Ministry of the week: Thank God that the Portuguese Church is growing. Pray that, as they meet on a Saturday evening, they would continue to grow in numbers and in faith as they worship together. Let us give thanks today that we have a perfect example in Christ, to follow Him and His ways, so that we can be full of love for others, just as He is. Psalm 28:7. The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him and I am helped. Pray for those who are struggling today. Romans 8:15. You did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by Him we cry Abba Father. Pray that, as a church, each one of us will have our ministries revealed to us. Whether we are new to our walk with Christ or are seasoned, may we be shown new and wonderful gifts from God. May we embrace them wholeheartedly and move forward in our faith and bring revival to Norwich. Pray for the Caleb group meeting at Witard Road today. May this gathering of men grow in their faith as they worship together.

Ministry of the week: Thank God for all the volunteers who enable luncheon club to run week by week. Pray for all those who attend, that they would find friendship and come to know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. Pray for our church. Pray that the building will be surrounded by the Lord s protection and filled with His Spirit. That all who enter in will be moved, changed, comforted, enlightened and strengthened. Pray for the growing humanitarian crisis in Nigeria which has forced many people from their homes. Pray for peace between herders and farmers, bringing the violent clashes to an end. Pray for all those affected by the terrorist attack in Kenya on a luxury hotel compound in the capital Nairobi that killed at least 21 people. Pray for the many families effected and the security forces as they try to prevent further attacks from the Somalia-based Islamist group al- Shabab Pray for peace in the Democratic Republic of Congo as tribal violence continues to claim many lives. Pray for the many children orphaned due to conflict and Ebola. Pray for peace to come to Yemen. For people suffering from severe food shortages, that it will be possible to get emergency supplies to those in most need and for an end to the cholera outbreaks deepening the crisis Street of the week: Pray for all those people living in Bucks Yard. Why not prayer walk the street as you pray? Ministry of the week: Thank God for the monthly social afternoons where people can experience friendship and fun. Pray for all those who are housebound, lonely and fearful. Millions of people have taken to the waters at the confluence of India's sacred Ganges and Yamuna rivers as part of the Kumbh Mela festival - humanity's largest gathering, about 120m visitors over 7 weeks (that's 10 times the population of greater Norwich every day!). Pray for safety and peace in the area - and if there are opportunities for Christians to present the real gospel and hope of Jesus Christ. There are still hundreds of people (the caravans) attempting to make their way from Latin/ Central America into the USA - they take many risks and at the end of their mammoth trek will not be met with compassion or a welcoming political situation. Pray that there will be a peaceful outcome and that situations in the home countries can improve so that they do not feel the need to makes these dangerous and uncertain journeys. We hear many stories of Iranians turning to Christ and having to flee the country. Thanks to God that He is making Himself known and that people are turning to Him, but pray for the safety of those people that they will find their peace in that same Christ.

SHARING LIFE HELP NEEDED Would you be able to assist the sound team on Sunday mornings following concerts at the church? We have a need for helpers to assist the person on sound duty with re-connecting the sound kit on the stage on some Sundays. Normally it will involve arriving at church around 8am before the musicians arrive, and then assisting with the last connections when musicians are rehearsing. There is no need to have any skills in doing sound. If you have ever fancied having a go at the wiring challenges on Crystal Maze, and can work out one end of a cable from the other, you could be just the person. We will provide all training. There is a particular need for most Sundays in March. If you can help please let Rob Evans know. NOTICES If you miss the monthly notices but have an event or item to advertise please send it to bev@norwichcentral.org and we will make sure to get it up on the weekly rolling notices for services and the foyer. SOCIAL EVENTS We give thanks for the well attended activities which we arranged over the Christmas and the New Year. Saturday 16th February We hope that the SNOWDROPS will be in full blossom. Watch out for details when and where we be arranging a visit on the notice board. The Social Events Committee will be meeting on Monday 11th February 2pm at 33 Bluebell Road If you have any outings or activities which you think would be of interest as a group, please talk to Bettina Fletcher MISSION This year the annual BMS Day of Prayer at NCBC will be incorporated into the Mission Focused ENCOUNTER prayer meeting on Wednesday 6th February at 7.30pm. There are plenty of needs, world wide in the effects of conflicts, natural disasters, hatred & greed. If you would like to know more about the work, the staff and the opportunities at BMS World Mission; or if you would like to have your own Copy of their publications, please contact our BMS rep. INVITING Connect Lunch Three times a year the leaders host a Connect Lunch, an opportunity for those new to the church and also for anyone involved in our church life who would like to get to know the leaders better, to join them for a light lunch after a morning service.
