Ladies you are invited to join us from 9:00 to 11:00 each Wednesday beginning January 17, 2018 through February 21, 2018 for Beth Moore s Bible Study The Quest. There is no quest without questions. The crooked punctuation mark at the end of a sentence speaks of curiosity, interest, and perhaps doubt. A question is an invitation to vulnerability, to intimacy. The Bible does not shy away from such an invite. Over and over we see the people of God asking questions of their Creator. We also see the God of the universe asking questions of His creation. The Quest is a challenge to accept the invitation. In this excursion with Jesus, Beth uses questions from Scripture to lead you into intimacy with the One who knows you best. Learn to dig into the Word, to respond to the questions of God, and to bring your questions before Him. Let the crooked punctuation mark be the map that points you into a closer relationship with the Father. Learn to promote intimacy with God through prayer. Explore questions and responses from the Bible. Track your quest by journaling along the way. Learn to read and respond to Scripture. The deadline to sign up for this study is Sunday, January 7, 2018. If you know of someone that may be interested in attending this study, please invite them to join us. We will be meeting in Conference Room #2. You may sign up on the attendance sheets, by calling the church office 704-782-1811, by calling or emailing Kay Jones 704-720-0864; 704-467-7597; Kay3tom12@carolina.rr.com. There is a new Mailbox on the church grounds, but it is not for US Mail or Personal Mail The mailbox is located at the Historic Spring for the many people who come daily from Cabarrus County and neighboring areas to fill their jugs and containers full of spring water and ask about the history of the spring. Three pages of information The Historic Spring, Brush Arbor, Revivals, and Camp Meetings, with a daily devotional attached, is available in the mailbox. A special thank-you to Brenda Long, member of the Committee on History and Records, for being in charge of the project; Larry Craven, a fairly new member of our church and a new member of the Trustees, for placing the mailbox at the spring; and to Lindsey Love for doing the lettering on the mailbox. If you would like to have a copy of the History of the Spring, please see Church Historian Barbara Bost
