It s call Join Us. It s a quick way to help a Catholic man to join the Order. Its main focus is in recruiting Catholic men that are involved in social media and the Internet. Here s the link to see the website: www.kofc.org/joinus The Order s goal is to provide all our Brother Knights a tool to point a potential candidate to the website and join. Pancake Breakfast: Thanks to Brothers Pat Kluckman and Kendell Mann for leading the two teams of during the July Pancake Breakfast extravaganza. Also, thanks to the 15 to 20 Brother Knights that volunteer to cook, serve, and cleanup during our Pancake Breakfasts. Thanks to Brothers Paul Miller and Tom Britten who volunteered to take over Brother Andy Baldovsky s job of keeping all the breakfast supplies ready for the teams to cook and serve during the breakfasts. Knight of the Month & Family of the Month: Congratulations to Sir Knight Ernie Rodriguez and his family for being selected the Council s July 2018 Family of the Month. Also, congratulations to Brother Jeff Head for being selected as the Council s July 2018 Knight of the Month. Both of these Brother Knights and their families earned their well-deserved recognitions. Football Crazr: Participating in the Football Crazr is a great opportunity for the Council to benefit from its support to the Colorado State Charities program. For every ticket the Council sells, it gets $2 back. Also, if the Council sells at least 50 tickets ($10 each), it receives lodging and dining support during the State Convention and membership program. It s a Win-Win situation for the Council. Please contact the Grand Knight if you have any questions or you want to order some tickets they are going fast! Sky Sox Tailgate: Brother Ernie Rodriguez (Sky Sox Tailgate Coordinator) did an outstanding job of making sure the Council Brothers, Ladies, families, and friends had everything they needed for a successful tailgate awesome food and no rain. We would also like to thank all the Brother Knights, Ladies, families, and friends that helped setup, cook, and cleanup. I counted over 50 attendees we also sold at least 60 tickets. We ll do this again next year with a new Colorado Springs baseball team! Grand Knights Message continued on page 4 IN SERVICE TO ONE, IN SERVICE TO ALL Page 1 of 7
