P A G E 2 How does your garden grow? The Bible is strong on gardening. Whether in Genesis, Jeremiah or the Gospels, gardens play a prominent role in God s plans. Gardens are a special place to bear witness to God s creation. It is a place to commune with God, love your neighbor and care for creation all at the same time. It is for these reasons that Outreach is creating a community vegetable garden here at Good Shepherd. It is our hope that Good Shepherd s garden will foster community among its members while providing fresh produce for our neighbors at Forever Fed Mobile Food Pantry. Gardening together as a church allows us to be stewards of the earth for the benefit of all people. It is a ministry, not just an activity, and we hope you will join us in our efforts to feed our neighbor with a sustainable and ongoing garden ministry.
