Thank you for your prayers, love, and support. We praise God for your partnership in the gospel. We were very blessed to have with us the Daingerfield Church of Christ, our sponsoring congregation, at the end of July. God blessed the week tremendously and we could see the Lord working in every detail of the mission trip for them. I will try to give a glimpse of the things that the Lord did through them in their time here. The first area that they helped serve in was encouragement for the congregations in and near Porto Alegre. They used their first Sunday here to visit the church in Viamao, Teresopolis, and Agronomia. They also participated Tuesday night at Agronomia and Wednesday night at Teresopolis. They also participate with the congregation that meets at Lucas their first Saturday and last Friday night they were here. Tim and Duane brought lessons for the congregations to encourage them to persevere in the Lord, and to remember that the Lord is with them in all circumstances of life. The time spent with the church at Lucas was along with the Let s Start Talking team that was here and the goal was for evangelism in that we could speak English and create a relationship with the contacts that they had speaking with over their time here. Praise God the time was blessed and we are looking forward to see what the Lord will do. Please be praying for us that we have the opportunity to study with some of the contacts/readers that came to speak English using the Bible. One more time we were very impressed with the group from Lets Start Talking and their desire to reach others for Christ. They were an example for all of us. We used the nights with the group as well to sing church songs in English. It was a blessing for all.

It is very easy to see by the smiles on the faces of all that the Lord blessed this time at Lucas and we are thankful for this door that the Lord opened for us to be used in this way. The church in Teresopolis was also very much encouraged by the church in Daingerfield. As you know from the last report, they finished the first phase of their reforms on the building with a reinauguration, and were very excited to have Daingerfield visit. The church in Teresopolis is experiencing growth in all ways and we praise our great and awesome God for his grace and mercy. Tim, Duane and Nathan, were very excited to see the renewed spirit at the church in Teresopolis along with the reforms on the building. The church in Teresopolis did all the reforms necessary with their help coming from the members at the congregation. Needless to say, the group had a huge positive impact on the church at Agronomia where we are working. We praise God for their spirit of service and the humble hearts they have to reach out to all those around them. This part of the report will show the work they did at Agronomia in regards to the Vacation Bible School and their time with us at the church building. We were very happy to receive our brothers and sisters in Christ on the 23 rd of July in the afternoon. Upon their arrival, we loaded up one van with their luggage and the other van with

them. We were blessed to have eighteen people who chose to come and be a part of their short-term mission effort which has long term results. The first night they were here they attended the small group that meets at Cantao where the church began meeting a couple of years ago in the house of Dideu and Valeria. Our small group had a meal prepared for them and welcomed them with open arms. They fed them well and that very night started doing one thing they would do in every place they would go, which would be singing. This started the week in the direction that it would with the Lord blessing every moment. This moment they already fell in love with Brazilian food. After the weekend activities at Lucas and Sunday visiting the congregation, they began work for the Vacation Bible School on Monday that would go until Wednesday. They took time to prepare the materials and the rooms for VBS as well as training for their skits they would do on the story of Joseph. We also took time to walk in the nearby neighborhoods to hand out invitations for VBS. We were blessed with many children that had never come before and the opportunity to meet some of their parents. The children continue coming to church after they have left. Praise God for this!

We were so happy to see the children, along with the members from Agronomia, being so supportive of this event and bringing their children as well as inviting others as well. God blessed us more than we can imagine. The weather forecast was for lots of rain both of these days, but we only had sun and warm temperatures during the days of VBS, which is not normal for this part of the year. God has given me the opportunity to hear from those in the neighborhoods the impact the church is having in these areas. All the children from the neighborhood are spreading the word about the church at Agronomia. Praise God that we can have a positive impact and example in the area we are working for the community as well. Daingerfield also had the opportunity to participate in a youth retreat that was being organized by us and the group that helps Ju and I in this part of the ministry as well. God again very much blessed the retreat. The theme of the

retreat was about faith. Tim and Nathan from Daingerfield spoke at the retreat, David, from Let s Start Talking, and I had the opportunity to speak. We praise God that He blessed the event and we had 82 that attended the youth retreat. We invited youth from all the congregations in the state to come and have this opportunity as well to get to know each other. Praise God for this opportunity that was given the youth to have this time together. This retreat was able to create a bond for all those who attended and we pray that the Lord will continue to bless us with other opportunities alike in the future. Praise God for his grace and mercy and His blessing as we continue to look to Him and remembering that all things that God is glorified!

Needless to say, we were blessed and encouraged to continue doing the work here in the Southern part of Brazil. The group as well went to the house of Cleoni, Josue s mother from Teresopolis, to sing to her since she is not able to get out because of our sickness. It was a very intense, emotional moment for all of us who were there and saw many with tears in their eyes seeing what she struggles with daily, but also seeing how she continues with her faith in the Lord. The church in Agronomia had other members, such as Daniel e Luzia, who offered to give the adult men a meal in their house, etc. This next part will show Daingerfield at the church in Agronomia. The young men who came from Daingerfield as well had the opportunity to give devotionals during the retreat and one during the worship service on the last night that they would be here. We are very thankful to our God for His protection and His blessings in all that happened in reference to the mission trip that the church in Daingerfield participated in the end of July. It is amazing to see how God did more than we can ask or imagine, and we thank you all who were praying for their trip here and the work here in the Southern part of Brazil. Ju and I are very mindful that it is because of your prayers, love, and support that we have been given this opportunity as partners with you in this work as we all look to our God and give all the glory to Him, for nothing is possible without Him. We have many who have been visiting the congregation and God has blessed us with many studies with people about the gospel and we are praying that the Word that is being planted will bring forth fruit in His time. These last set of pictures will be the church in Daingerfield having time with our family.

One of the members from Daingerfield made this beautiful quilt in which each little square was written the favorite Bible verses from the members at Daingerfield, and in the middle of the blanket it says Keep fired up. continue fired up for the Lord! May we always God bless you and thanks so much for your prayers, love, and support. We are thankful for each and every one of you.
