A Note From The Ritual Committee There is a wonderful sponsorship opportunity available. A new set of the Jerusalem Talmud is being translated by Artscroll with 29 volumes produced to date. We are looking for a sponsor to acquire this important addition to our Library, as well as subscribe to the completion of the set. This set will be a valuable addition to our library. Please consider participating in this effort to enhance our shul. Please contact Gideon Miller at gidmill@att.net if you are interested. Once again, hundreds of people from the greater Houston Jewish community are expected to join the 7th Annual Friendship Circle Walk on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at 2pm. And you too can be a part of a local Jewish cause that simply touches the heart, by joining the youth and adults from across Houston who will walk for The Friendship Circle. The Walk, produced cooperatively by the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston and Jewish Family Service, will leave the J.F.S. and make its way to the Beth Yeshurun Pulaski Rauch Auditorium for an indoor Friendship Fair, filled with rides, food, fun times, and a performance by AcroDunk. The Fair is from 3-5pm. Let the children and adults with special needs, their families, and all the dedicated volunteers know how much you care. Show you care - Make a difference! Visit www.houstonfriendshipwalk.com to see how you too can be a part of it. Please note that the costume resale has been cancelled "The Houston Kasruth Association (HKA) is a a non-profit organization whose mission is educational programming, working on new kosher venues and products for Houston, and maintaining current kosher establishments. The HKA only covers 80% of its operating costs through kosher certification fees. Therefore, the remaining 20% is raised through fundraising. HKA's only major annual fundraising effort is a phone-a-thon where volunteers from synagogues across the city call on behalf of the HKA. This Sunday, you will most likely receive a phone call from a fellow UOS member who is volunteering on behalf of the HKA and they hope that you will be able to support the investment in strengthening kosher in Houston. Thank you." Houston Bnei Akiva, UOS and RMBA wish Mazal Tov to Minya Goldstein (Houston Bat Sheirut 2011-2012) on her upcoming marriage to Dor Shaulie! If you are interested in co-hosting the Sheva Brachot (whether you are able to attend or not), please contact Shlomo Stern at sstern@bneiakiva.org for more details. Our Bnot Sheirut Aya and Neta, are available to be hosted for meals on Shabbat and during the week. You may choose Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday for dinner or Saturday for lunch.
