FROM THE TEE BOX A Few Thoughts from Our Pastor Dear Friends, From the Tee Box! April 23-24, 2016 Fifth Sunday of Easter Last Sunday we celebrated First Eucharist! Congratulations to our children and to their families. Church was packed with children, parents, grandparents, families, and friends. I truly enjoyed being with everyone and thank all of those involved for their help in bringing things together and making it so awesome: -Melanie Chabarria (our Director of Christian Formation) -Our catechists and teachers -Our St. Jude Music Ministry for an outstanding job -Catholic Daughters for offering our reception -Our ushers for their assistance during Mass...and all those who helped with the preparation of our children and the liturgy itself. Now we look to the end of the school year: Mothers Day, graduations, and so on. On Sunday evening our college sharing group met, and in the closing prayer time asked for, a strong end to the school year. This prayer is most appropriate, and I invite all of us to take it to heart. Please keep all of our children in your prayers for a good and strong end for the year. Have a great week! Sincerely, Money Counters Needed!!! Our parish is looking for a few more money counters to help with the weekend collections and deposits. If you are interested in this ministry or if you would like additional information, please contact Deacon James Morrissey in the parish office, 225-766-2431 or by email at deaconjmorrissey@gmail.com Volunteers Needed! St. Jude Parish Media Ministry We are in the process of establishing a Parish Media Ministry. This ministry will coordinate the production of Sunday Mass for our parish website. Volunteers will be needed to operate video equipment in the media room of our church. It is our goal to upload Mass to our website on a weekly basis. Parishioners who may be interested in becoming a part of this new ministry are asked to contact Deacon James or Fr. Trey in the Parish Office. Fr. Trey Nelson Pastor
