The Justice Outreach Program (JOP) invites diocesan High School youth volunteers and their adult chaperones to Browning in the center of the Blackfeet Nation for a week s worth of labor, culture exchange, and fellowship, centered around the principles of the Catholic Social Teaching. It is an extraordinarily fun and significant adventure, focused on the needs and capabilities of youth by placing them outside their comfort zones, crossing the borders of race and culture. O Neill Scholarship And David Astle Scholarship Applications are being accepted for the awarding of the Michael J. O Neill Scholarship and the David Astle Scholarship. The scholarships are awarded to a graduating Flathead Valley high school student of Irish Catholic descent planning on attending Carroll College, or a current Carroll College student of Irish Catholic descent for the Flathead Valley. The amount of the Michael J. O Neill Scholarship is $1,000 each year up to four consecutive years. The amount of the David Astle Scholarship is $1,000 for one year. Deadline for applications is July 20, 2018. Interested students may get an application by calling Mike Kelly at 250-9895. ART & ENVIRONMENT MINISTERS WANTED The current staff of the A & E committee at St. Matthew s have reached retirement age! We are so thankful for the financial assistance of our parishioners over these many years as well as the decorating help you ve provided, especially on our prominent feasts of Christmas and Easter. WHAT IS NEEDED is a replacement team who will continue to beautify our church sanctuary on a weekly basis. A recent study said that beauty is one of the significant reasons people are drawn to and stay with the Catholic faith! We are willing to offer assistance or train anyone inspired to join this vital and necessary ministry. These committee openings provide an excellent opportunity to make a gift of oneself to the Lord and to one s parish. Pope Pius XII You Are Invited to a St. Matthew s ~~ SPECIAL SUMMER MISSION ~~ Fr. William Wagner is a member of the Order of the Opus Sanctorum Angelorum means the Work of the Holy Angels. He is the foremost expert on our Holy Guardian Angels in the Church. During this special Summer Mission, Fr. Wagner will speak on the importance of having a familiar relationship with the angels. He will also guide us on how to collaborate more consciously with the holy angels in daily life for our own personal sanctification and for the salvation of the souls of others.
