As you may know, any adult who will be working with minors including clergy, employees and volunteers must receive safe environment training and successfully pass a criminal background investigation. Each year, an update training must be done and every five years, a new criminal background investigation must be run. The Parish Safe Environment Coordinators have done marvelous work in tracking all of this information and ensuring that everyone is up to date in these requirements. Recently, the diocese has centralized this effort by using a platform run by the diocesan insurer, the Catholic Mutual Group, called CMG Connect. If you are a current volunteer who works with children and youth, you may receive emails from CMG Connect or future requests from Nichole Munoz who is the Parish Safe Environment Coordinator for Corpus Christi instructing you to go on to CMG Connect to complete update training or for a new background check. New volunteers who work with children and youth will be given instructions on how to create a new account and sign up for foundational training and complete a background check. Corpus Christi Parish would like to continue to offer Sunday EXPOSITION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT after the 11am Mass. There must be Adorers in the Church with Jesus at every moment as prescribed in the Rite appropriate to Exposition/Adoration. Please sign up if you can commit each week; or once a month.
