Chapter Newsletter for Sep 2010 Est. 1990 Vol. #9-2010 Directors Report Finally a little cool-down in the weather. I know I shouldn t complain, since winter will be with us before we know it, but the heat and humidity have been oppressive. I am glad we can jump on our bikes and create a much needed breeze. Kudos to all involved on the picnic. Linda the food was top-notch. Don t forget to come out on September 11 and support our sponsoring dealer at their open house. Without Irv and Patty, we wouldn t be a chapter. Secretary s Report/Chapter Minutes Secretary s Report / Chapter Minutes August 13 th, 2010 Call to Order Director Kay Brewster called the meeting to order at 7:37 PM with 11 members and 2 guests present. Secretary Motion to approve the July minutes as printed. Motion made by Lynn Jaster, seconded by Ron Brewster. Motion carried. Assistant Director Treasurer Randy Ellis gave the Treasurer s report with a balance of $1626.17. Membership Officer Randy Ellis reported that we have 72 current members. Activities Officer August 22 nd, Chapter Picnic, lunch at the New Albin City Park Leaving Oelwein Kwik Star at 9:30am and Monona Kwik Star at 11:30am for New Albin. August 29 th, LOH Ride, Meet at the Kwik Star in Calmar, Ia. 10:30 am. Ride at 11:00 am. Lunch at the Bent Wrench Bar & Grill in Fountain, Mn. August 31 st, Flag will arrive for the Nation of Patriots Ride from WHD to Madison, WI. September 1 st leaving Waukon Harley to Madison, WI. At 9:30 am. September 12 th, Fall Membership Ride. Meet at the Elkader Fast Trac at 10:00 am, Ride at 10:30 am Lunch at the Manchester Pizza Ranch. September 26 th Dinner Ride to Country Gardens in Soldiers Grove, WI. Passenger blindfolded (me) Bernard had to say out side a circle and not put his feet down as I threw the stuffed animals to Myrna she was in a smaller circle in the middle of the larger circle. She couldn't go outside the small circle to catch the items I thew. I DIDN'T DO WELL throwing at all (as you can see).
