Welcome! Bienvennus! Bienvenidos! Shalom! Namaste! Large print bulletins are available and children s bulletins are available on the table in the Narthex.

Those who are able are invited to stand. PRELUDE Poccata for a Celebration Gene Clarke LIFE OF THE CONGREGATION Moment of silence to prepare your hearts for worship LET US WORSHIP GOD TOGETHER SONG OF DEVOTION (hymnal & screen) #389 Spirit of the Living God (vs. 1 - repeat) CALL TO WORSHIP (John 4:23-24, Acts 1:8, Romans 5:5) Leader: a time has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. People: God is spirit, and His worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth. Leader: you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; People: And you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Leader: And hope does not put us to shame, People: because God s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. INVOCATION Leader: Almighty God, fill us with Your Spirit and renew our hearts with Your love. Drive the evil one from our lives and shelter us in Your mighty hand. Through the power of Your Spirit raise us to new life and enable us to praise You. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. SONGS OF PRAISE (insert, & screen) Take My Life Breathe CALL TO CONFESSION (Psalm 143:1-2, 7-8, 10) Leader: LORD, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for mercy; in Your faithfulness and righteousness come to my relief. Do not bring Your servant into judgment, for no one living is righteous before You. Answer me quickly, LORD; my spirit fails. Do not hide Your face from me or I will be like those who go down to the pit. Let the morning bring me word of Your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in You. Show me the way I should go, for to You I entrust my life. Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; may Your good Spirit lead me on level ground. Let us confess our sins in silent prayer.

SILENT PRAYER PRAYER OF CONFESSION Unison: Gracious God, forgive us for resisting Your Spirit s lead. Help us to listen and to follow the Holy Spirit. Help us to yield our will to Yours. Conform our lives through the transforming power of Your Holy Spirit into the image of Your Son, our Savior Jesus. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. ASSURANCE OF PARDON (I Corinthians 6:11) Leader: Wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. Sisters and brothers I declare to you that you are forgiven! AFFIRMATION OF FAITH The Apostles Creed Unison: I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen. GLORIA PATRI Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost, As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen.
