Save the Date! June 11 th from 11:15AM 12:45PM in the APR Welcome Committee Come & meet our newest Parishioners and greet them with a warm Epiphany welcome to our Parish Family. June 13-8:15 9:15PM Parish Pastoral Council Meeting APR We welcome your input on ways to increase full, active, participation of all parishioners at our Masses. Gospel: John 3:16-18 In this beautiful passage, Jesus tells Nicodemus that God loved his people so much that he gave his only son. Jesus reveals to Nicodemus that anyone who believes in him will not die but will enjoy life with him for all eternity. Having come down in a cloud, the Lord stood with Moses there and proclaimed his name, Lord. Thus the Lord passed before him and cried out, The Lord, the Lord, a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger and rich in kindness and fidelity. Moses at once bowed down to the ground in worship. Then he said If I find favor with you, O Lord, do come along in our company. Children sing with great gusto Our God is an awesome God Any words we use to describe God fall short of reality, whether it be the Trinity or each Person. Maybe we should grab the descriptive words of Exodus to describe God, as we know the three Divine Persons through their activity of creator, redeemer and animator. God is merciful, the wonderful virtue emphasized by Pope Francis. Our God is gracious or considerate of us in our need, one of the fruits of the Spirit as described by St. Paul. Our God is one not to take offense, He doesn t get mad, but perhaps at times He is disappointed with us and He is filled with kindness, one of the fruits of the Spirit described by Saint Paul. God is always true to His word and fulfilling His promises. We can apply all these characteristics to the God we praise on this Trinity Sunday. Consider Advertising in the Parish Bulletin Here s another way to boost your business while supporting your parish. Every weekend, Epiphany distributes 500 bulletins which are placed in the hands of every person attending the Masses. It is a must read for parishioners who wish to stay current with the activities and programs at our parish. The majority of readers are local residents with families that have a strong commitment to the local area and tend to support businesses that support their faith community. Based on this circulation, your message is presented thousands of times over a 52-week period. If interested, please contact Carol at 732-458-0220 or email Carol@churchofepiphany.org 7

For more info call Fran at 732-505-2273 Keep yourself in the Mass Habit Summer is almost here, and people are planning their vacations, both near and far. Don t forget to go to Mass while you are away. You can find Mass times anywhere in the world at masstimes.org. If you are really into it, you might combine your vacation with a pilgrimage. While we think of pilgrimages as something you do in Rome or the Holy Land, a pilgrimage is simply a planned visit to a holy heritage site. Throughout the United States, you can find places where saints lived and died, places with relics, sites of miracles, famous churches and statues. The bishops list American sites of Catholic heritage at usccb.org Vacation Prayer Lord, bless us with joy as we set out for our days of vacation. Let them bring us rest and refreshment. Protect us as we travel. Give us gentle weather and peaceful times. Be with us at the meals we enjoy and in the activities we share. In all we do, let us grow in our love for You and for each other. We ask this through Christ our Lord. AMEN. - Fr. Michael Kwatera 8
