Exalted Ruler Greetings members. Sean Williams I hope this message finds you well. As we are coming to the end of our fraternal year and this will be my last article as your Exalted Ruler. Denise and I had the utmost honor and privilege serving as your First Lady and ER for this year. As a Lodge we accomplished a lot this year. On the outside, we met the obligations set for us by Grand Lodge. Internally, we made changes that will help ensure our success in the future. I want to thank the members as a whole for their willingness to participate in these changes. I want to thank the Ladies of the Elks for their unwavering support; and a special thanks to the Board of Directors for their leadership and guidance throughout the year. I was told by our District PDDGER hat this year would be the most challenging and also the most rewarding as an Elk. He was right on both accounts. I have never been more proud to be an Elk and couldn't have been more proud to be your Exalted Ruler. In April, a new Board of Directors will enter to carry-on our good work. Please give them the awesome support that you have shown me and this year's BOD. Again thank you members " ab imo pectore". Fraternally, Sean Williams 2

Esteemed Leading Knight Robert Sitter Dear Members, I hope you had a joyous and safe holiday season. This year is already turning out to be a fast paced year. We have many events coming up, so please check the calendar and hope to see you at the Good Time Lodge very soon. I would like to say thank you to the many people who have helped organize and run Bingo at the lodge. With their help and the generosity of the players, we have donated nearly $700 to Elks National Foundation and nearly $1,000 to Major Project. My sincerest Thanks to all who help and play. I wish you all a happy, safe and prosperous new year and look forward to seeing you soon. Fraternally Yours, Robert Sitter Welcome New Member Barbara Taylor Hope to see you at the Lodge! 4

Betty Ford ~ President Ladies of the Westchester Elks Good bye, farewell and thank you to 2017! And, what a great year it was!! We began the Elk year by installing a full board. Together we held a very successful fashion show in March (Theme: Some Like it Hot!). We participated in the July 4 th parade, we held Paint and Sip champagne brunch, we hosted our annual booth at the Car Show, we participated in the celebration of Elks 60 th anniversary, we honored our lifetime members with Board hosted dinner, we hosted a Day at the Races Del Mar, we donated baskets for Sean s Charity Ball, we donated baskets for Rob s Charity Ball, we hosted a Quartermania auction, we have donated (thus far) 150 Comfort Bears to first responders. For the joy of friendship, camaraderie and thanks for your volunteer hours, we gathered together each quarter for our members only birthday dinner. Our Christmas dinner in December was off the charts fabulous! Our entertainer was one of my very favorite entertainers ever, Tatjana!! She put on a performance that brought about 2 standing ovations and is now our favorite Super Star!! We donated a remarkable amount of gifts and toys to the Union Rescue Mission that were picked up that night. On the heels of such a wonderful month of December, we are now coordinating a full agenda of activities and fundraisers, volunteering and giving. We will continue our regular donations of hygiene supplies to SPY (Safe Place for Youth) and making Care Bears for first responders. We will share more activities and information later. In February, we will have a special guest speaker to speak about self protection and self defense. Speaker will be Linda Benecke. Linda was one of our vendors at Quartermania in November and is happy to return with tips of self protection and products from Damsel in Defense. She will donate 20% back to the Lodge if you purchase one of her self protection items. I invite you to join us for this meeting on February 5 th and feel free to bring a guest! (6:30 PM) Save the date March 24th for our 2018 Fashion Show!! This year s theme is A Stroll Down Memory Lane -- 60 Years and Counting! The committee has decided on a menu from 1958, theme for decorating, baskets, raffles, vendors and sooooo much more! Please mark your calendar and join us for a wonderful event! We salute the forward thinking ladies of the 50 s and 60 s who formed the Ladies of the of the Westchester Elks. We salute you, ladies. We honor you! Check later in this edition of the Whisper for more information about the fashion show and how you can purchase your tickets. $40 pp. We want to see you there! We are off to a great start in 2018!! Until next time Betty Ford, President, Ladies of the Westchester Elks 10
