The words echo the Gospel of Luke, in which Mary sets out in haste to visit Elizabeth-a text we will hear proclaimed on the Fourth Sunday of Advent this year. We ask God to help us ensure that no earthly task holds us back from meeting Christ, but that we be guided by heavenly wisdom. In these days before Christmas, we need a little heavenly wisdom to help us see the true meaning of the festival of our Savior's birth.
