Parishes will hold Mass to seek the Lord's blessing on the New Year ahead, please try to attend that mass with your family. Many of us will be making New Year s resolutions to bring about change in our everyday lives, but I wonder how many of us will be making spiritual resolutions for the betterment of our souls. Somehow, we always forget that part of our being, the very image of God within us. Let us all strive to be more spiritual in the New Year, by praying the rosary daily, by attending daily Mass when possible, reconciliation and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Becoming more active and visible in our Parish communities in the various ministries of the church; Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Greeters and Collectors. Like our everyday life our spiritual life needs to be nurtured and sustained to remain healthy and that is something we have to be attentive to daily or else we can so easily let things slip by. May God's blessings be upon you and your families throughout this New Years to guide, protect and sustain you and may our Blessed Mother shower you with her love. Vivat Jesus! Fr.
