Dear Brothers, On July 14,2015 we held our Installation of Officers and it was a delightful and graceful evening. We are grateful to Father Kovanis for his support, loyalty and Prayers during the ceremony. Thank you to District Deputy Fran Nasson for clearing his calendar to make the installation happen within our time schedule. A most hearty Thank You to the Ladies Auxiliary who were superb in the handling and presentation of the tasty lite dinner afterwards. Brothers we have an active schedule coming rapidly toward us and we need all the participation of our Knights. September we are having an Italian Dinner, please support this event, tickets sales are needed by everyone. See the details for the menu. This is going to be a fun event. Starting in September we are going to support the children in the Faith Formation class by preparing a meal for them once a month, the dates will be sent to all Knights via e-mail. This will only take a brother and wife or a few brothers to prepare the meal. Times needed are 4:30 PM = 6:30 PM as the children will be attending religious classes later. This program also fulfills a Youth Activity for our council. These will be simple meals such as hot dogs, chips, and a drink etc. If this is something you could help with please call me, 634-8381 or e- mail michaelmccluskey16@gmail.com. We are also going to have an Oktoberfest, October 22, 2015. This should be a fun event, check over the details page in this newsletter. Val Korolevich has arranged for the Exemplification of nine Knights to the 4th Degree. Thank you Val for the hard work. October 12, 2015 is Columbus Day. Lector, Paul Carren, EM s John Burgess and Don Mangers, Altar Servers, John Kemper and Larry Seick we will also have Knights present the gifts. Please make every effort to attend this Mass at 8:00 AM. Let s not just talk about our commitment to the Church, let s show it. Please wear your blue shirts and let the parish know we are truly committed. Brothers with the snow-birds cooling off up north at this time, the Church is in need of people to take part in the many ministries that go on. More EM s, Altar Servers, Ushers, etc are needed. Our Knights take care of Adoration, Lenten Service and various other ministries. I was scanning the roster the other day and counted thirty one Knights that are active in Church Ministries I know there many more however that just gives you an idea how we impact our parish. God Bless Michael McCluskey Grand Knight PAGE 4

DISTRICT DEPUTY REPORT August, 2105 Congratulations to all the new officers in your Council. I look forward to an outstanding year and will provide whatever help I can to assist each Council be a Star Council. The began with the District Organizational meeting on July 25th at Prince of Peace. 14 Brothers spent 3 hours discussing membership, programs, dates for the Basketball, Soccer, and Spelling Bee, Lenten Food Drive, Squires, Role of the wives/family, attending meetings at other Councils, Meeting in November and April (dates to be announced), meeting on January 9, 2016. We also discussed having a District wide Spiritual experience and having a District wide annual event. All attendees are to submit ideas to me and I will include discussion at the next meeting. This is a good start and I know that we can meet and exceed these modest goals. Vivat Jesus Fran Nason DD 49 Seminarian Note of Appreciation My Brother Knights, I wanted to write a brief note expressing my thanks and gratitude to all of you for your support and prayers throughout the year. On May 6th I graduated from St. John Vianney in Miami. In August I will begin theological studies at St. Vincent de Paul Seminary in Boynton Beach. This summer I am in Omaha, NE attending the Institute for Priestly Formation with 175 other seminarians from across the country. It s a great program designed to help foster a spirituality to the diocesan priesthood and to help us grow in our own relationship with Christ. Please know that I will keep all of you in my prayers. Peace, Tom Pringle PAGE 6
