LOVE, PRAY and PARTICIPATE! Formation: Make disciples! Form Leaders! Call Servants! The gifts he gave were that some would be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, 12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ Ephesians 4.11-12 The work of ministry, the building up of the Body of Christ, is the task of all baptized Catholics. This task requires training; training that helps us to know, own, and share the faith that we proclaim. The term formation describes this type of growth or maturation of our faith. Archbishop Mancini has made formation a key theme in the revitalization of our local Church and he needs your support. Together we can provide the means necessary to equip the saints (us!) in the Church of Halifax-Yarmouth. This year, on the weekend of February 27-28, 2016, Archbishop Anthony Mancini invites you to make a donation to support formation. Information about this collection will be mailed out and available at parishes in the coming weeks. Please prayerfully consider making a gift that will help us make disciples, form leaders and call servants!
