March 3 Theme: Healing Bible: Acts 3:1-26 Message: Offer Them Christ Main Point: The disciples offered hope. They offered healing on a deeper level than physical. Formation Question: How have you been involved in healing this past month? Ash Wednesday is the official start of the Season of. A season for penance, reflection and fasting, in order to prepare us for Christ's Resurrection and for our Redemption. Ash Wednesday March 6 at Calvary-4:00 IMPOSITION OF ASHES/HOLY COMMUNION March 10 Theme: The Last Week Bible: Luke 22:14-20 Message: The Last Supper Main thought: The Last Supper was a recalling of Israel s deliverance from slavery in Egypt. Our Communion meal is a participation in and a reminder of our deliverance from sin. March 17 Theme: The Last Week Bible: Matthew 26.36-46 Message: The Garden Main Thought: Jesus dealt with betrayal by accepting God s will and His part in God s plan of redemption. March 24 Theme: The Last Week- Bible: Mark 14.53-72 Message: Sentenced Main thought: Jesus was sentenced after he was accused partially because no one spoke up to say this is wrong. We deny Christ every time we fail to speak up against evil. March 30 Theme: The Last Week Bible: Mark 14:53-15:15 Message: Jesus, Barabbas & Pilate Main Thought: Those who accused Jesus and those who believed they had finally defeated Jesus celebrated. In reality their actions were tolerated by Jesus. He said He had the power to lay down His life and to pick it up again. The forces of evil were not in control. The sentencing of Jesus was a visual demonstration of the choice we all must make. Will we choose the messiah that is meek and lowly of the one who is a revolutionary?

April 7 Theme: The Last Week Bible: Isaiah 53:3-7, Mark 15.15-20 Message: The Torture and Humiliation of the King Main Thought: One of the greatest sins we commit is causing pain in others lives. April 14 Theme: Palm Sunday Bible: Mark 11:1-11 Message: Prequel to the last week Main thought: Jesus begins His last week by announcing to the world that He is the messiah. Maundy Thursday April 18th Communion Zion 4:00 Good Friday April 19th-Tenebrae service will you sit with me for one hour Calvary 1:00 Zion Sunrise Service 6:30 April 21 Theme: Easter Bible: Luke 24.1-12, I Corinthians 15.3-10 Message: Roll back the stone of my heart Main Point: It is the love of God that rolls back the stone so that the light of God s love can come into the dark place in my life. April 28 Theme: The Witness Of Stephen Bible: Acts 7:51-60 Message: What Would You Be Willing To Die For? Main Point: It was Stephen s experience of Jesus being with him that enabled him to give his life. Formation Question: What Would You Be Willing To Die For?

MINISTRY OF PRAYER Christ taught us to pray and encourages us to pray unceasingly. Let us continually pray for our loved ones, our friends, our world. Michelle Reinhard is our Prayer Chain leader. You may contact her by email: teachers@gate.net using Prayer Chain in the subject line. For those without email, please call her cell phone 727-480-4409 year-round or locally at 920-839-9911 (Easter thru October). Michelle would like to start a phone prayer chain so people who do not have email can participate. The information would be the same, but you would receive a call. If you are interested in joining the email prayer chain or being included in the phone chain, please let Michelle know so you can be added to this link of faith. ZION NEWS It is almost like living in a mountain range in much of Door County. Peaks of snow are everywhere, obscuring vision. Now most cars don't even have an antenna to carry a warning ball. Lovers of winter sports, requiring snow or ice, are having a great time. The rest of us are looking forward to spring, rejoicing in each minute added to the daylight hour. Then the time leaps forward on March 10. Meanwhile, as we wait, the current beauties about us are enjoyed; not so much the cold. Spring is promised by Easter. All will eventually arrive as ordained. When will the ice go out of Sister Bay? begins March 6, when Ash Wednesday is observed. lasts for forty days, not counting Sundays. It is a time for reflection on the life of Jesus, his death and what it means for each of us. A time to separate from the many callings of the world for our time, our talents, and our energies that keep us from living the life Christ has called us to live. It is a time to sacrifice self on the altar of egoism and to remember the sacrifice Christ made for us. is the time to make time for fellowship with Jesus. God always gives his best to those who leave the choice to him. Myrtle Clark DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME BEGINS MARCH 10 TH, MOVE CLOCKS 1 HOUR AHEAD
