Our Purpose... Our Vision... Where we want to go! Our vision is to engage in relevant ministry that empowers individuals and Why we exist! To God be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:21 responds to the needs of the diverse community in which we live. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20 Our Mission What we do! Our Core Values... How we do it! Our mission is to offer Christ-centered fellowship, and holistic ministry that meets the needs of the whole person: spiritually, mentally, and physically. We intentionally seek to love our neighbor as ourselves, save souls, and transform lives by proclaiming gospel truth to power and providing purpose driven programs. The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord s favor. Luke 4:18-19 We value excellence: Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men..colossians 3:23 We value growth: But grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 3:18. We value unity: Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers and sisters to dwell together in unity! Psalm 133:1 We value hospitality: And if you give even a cup of cold water to one of the least of my followers, you will surely be rewarded. Matthew 10:42 We value diversity: We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. Romans 12:6 We value sacrifice: And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice. Romans 12:1 We value creativity: Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Isaiah 43:18-19 We value social justice: But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream! Amos 5:24 We value our heritage: One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts. Psalms 145:4 460 Marcus Garvey Boulevard Brooklyn, New York 11216 Reverend Adolphus C. Beloved, It is my prayer that all in this household of faith had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving offers us an opportunity as the people of God to push the pause button for a time of reflection to discern how we are managing our time and faith. It is also a time to thank God for the work that God had started in us with the birth of Christ. Today is the second Sunday of Advent. The word advent refers to the arrival of a notable person, thing, or event. Synonyms for advent include words like emergence, appearance, birth, rise, approach, or coming. For believers, the Advent season is when we prepare for the coming of our King, the birth of our Deliverer, and the nearness of His grace. The prophet Isaiah said: Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. (Isaiah 7: 14). Advent reminds us of all God has fulfilled in Christ s coming to this earth, all God fulfills now, and all to be fulfilled until, and when Jesus comes again. My prayer during this Advent season is that God would continue to be with us (Immanuel). Therefore, let us walk in confidence knowing that God is with us and promised not to leave us and is coming back for us. May you be blessed through our study, praise and worship of Jesus Christ, and may the story of His birth continue to bless you and enrich you this Advent. With a Shepherd s Love, Pastor Lacey

From now on all generations will call me blessed, 49 for the Mighty One has done great things for me holy is his name. 50 His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation. 51 He has performed mighty deeds with his arm; he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts. 52 He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble. 53 He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty. 54 He has helped his servant Israel, remembering to be merciful 55 to Abraham and his descendants forever, just as he promised our ancestors.
