St. Ignatius of Loyola #12853 Holy Family Catholic Church 4848 Pearl Avenue San Jose, CA 95136 The Columbiettes participated in the parish sponsored Survival Sack ministry by donating items such as socks, underwear, toothbrushes, toothpaste and toilet paper. We came together with other Holy Family parishioners to fill these personal items into 100 backpacks. Sister Columbiettes also shared in creating blankets and knitted items that along with the backpacks were given to Sacred Heart Community Services for distribution to homeless individuals. Our third annual Bunco Night was held in lieu of a November meeting. Bunco Night, led by Martha Williams, is an opportunity for current and prospective Columbiettes to gather for an evening of laughing, socializing and lots of prizes! Holy Family Parish housed homeless women through Village House during the month of November. The Columbiettes helped in all aspects of their care, including preparing and cooking meals, transportation, laundry, security, filling 24 hour shifts which included a warming center, and activities. Preparing the dining area. Welcome sign for the Village House guests.
