An old farmer had a wife who nagged him non-stop. From morning un l night, she was always complaining and nagging about something. The only me he got any relief was when he was out plowing with his old mule so he made sure he tried to plow as much as possible. One day, he was out plowing when his wife brought him his lunch out to the field. He drove the mule into the shade, sat down on a tree stump, and began to eat his lunch. His wife then began nagging him again. Nag, nag, nag, it just went on and on. Then suddenly, the mule lashed out with both back legs. He caught her smack in the back of the head killing her straight away. At the funeral a few days later, the minister no ced something strange. Whenever a woman mourner went to talk to the old farmer, he'd listen for a minute, then nod his head in agreement. But when a male mourner talked to him, he'd listen for a minute, then shake his head. This was so consistent, the minister decided to ask the old farmer about it. So a er the funeral, he spoke to the farmer, and asked him why he nodded his head and agreed with the women, but always shook his head and disagreed with all the men. The old farmer said: "Well, the women would come up and say something about how nice my wife looked, or how pre y her dress was, so I'd nod my head in agreement." "And what about the men?" the minister asked. "They all wanted to know if the mule was for sale."

The adventures of uncle Arthur July 2017 A couple of weeks ago Arthur was keen to get us going cutting wood, so while a couple of us were putting fuel in the wood elevator Arthur was grabbing the logs with the frontend loader (his favourite job) and as he was backing back he almost knocked the elevator over. Then last week we were cutting wood as usual and when we were almost finished Arthur was cleaning up the bark with the frontend loader (his favourite job), he obviously didn t like Foxterier Bill s chainsaw so he buried it in the heap of bark. Caroliiinnne has been showing off lately with her article in the local paper. The Plant man decided to convert his little home made tractor with a new power plant so he put a Pig in it. (apparently the faster you go the more it squeals). There was something I heard about a Bain Marie coming to grief, but I haven t enough information to comment. The Cotterpin family has come up with an idea to mount several tractor grills on a stand and place them with Pres. Sec. Treas. For their reserved parking spot. Cotterpin got the job of the manufacturing of them with the brackets for the names made to go on the top of the grills. After he had finished making them Pullthrough Cotterpin said NO!!!! I wanted them on the bottom of the grills (Buggar). I say if you want them on the bottom (which is the wrong place) you had better do it yourself matey. (by the way did I mention that Arthur s favourite job is driving the frontend loader). I heard a rumour that a new shed is going up at Lot 1 Skehans lane in the future, I guess it s because Doormatt is cluttering up the shed with all his machinery. Well that s about all for this month so as Arthur would say Hooroo. The observer PS. I heard that Arthur s favourite job is driving the frontend loader.
