Annual Report 2016 Since 2004, Agape has existed to demonstrate and share the life-changing message of Jesus Christ by providing practical help and loving support to those facing an unplanned pregnancy.

ICU Mobile recently deployed to Montgomery, AL

It all adds up... Hundreds of years ago, Italian astronomer & physicist, Galileo Galilei, wrote, Mathematics is the language in which God has written the universe. Well, math is not my gift. Period. But I do get addition and subtraction. And I am certainly convinced that we serve an awesome God Who not only created the universe, but has also numbered the very hairs of our heads. (Luke 12:7). So, as I reflect on the past year at Agape, I keep coming back to the same equation: AGAPE + 2016 = BLESSED ADDITIONS. As we have committed to move forward with ministry expansion, God faithfully added so much to us in 2016. For instance: $150K: Late last spring, Agape began a capital campaign to raise funds to purchase the mobile. Our board was committed to remaining debt-free...meaning we needed to raise every dime before ordering our RV. Again, God provided, and the order was placed in September. NEW FRIENDS: After we formalized our partnership with ICU Mobile in 2016, their staff has been such a blessing to us as they have walked us through the process of going mobile. During this time, they have become friends. We have been so fortunate to partner with a like-minded organization whose priority is life and the Gospel. NEW STAFF: Last year, Agape not only added Lydia Wampler as our Nurse Manager, but a new team of 5 nurses/sonographers to staff the center and mobile as well! We are amazed at God s provision of medical staff! And because every mobile unit needs a great MOM, last summer we hired Cindi Brandenburg to serve as our Mobile Operations Manager. Cindi volunteered with Agape for 3 years prior to becoming the MOM and brings much wisdom, energy and laughter to our team. SALVATIONS: This is what it s all about...27 young women were added to the Kingdom of God by placing their trust in Christ last year! Many others made the decision to rededicate their lives to Christ, while others joined local churches! BABIES SAVED: Besides salvations, this is our very best addition. Dozens of babies were welcomed into the world...babies who were given a chance at life as their moms decided against abortion after receiving factual information, unconditional love and ongoing support at Agape. NEW LEADERSHIP: This addition is bittersweet! John Smith, board president for the past 5 years, decided to add the title retired to his name. After retiring from his CPA firm, he decided it was time to step down as our president as well. He will continue to serve actively on the board and help me with numbers as needed! John is passing the baton to Greg Meyer. Greg has served as a board member to Agape for the past 4 years and is a graduate of Baylor University and St Thomas University. He has been with State Farm Insurance as a manager and agent for the past 27 years. Greg has been married to Donna for the past 33 years and together they have 3 daughters. He is an active member of Hill Country Bible Church Northwest and the Round Rock Rotary Club. We are so blessed to have Greg s leadership as he has a heart for our ministry, and like John, is committed to seeing Agape move into the future with excellence, while maintaining a laser-like focus on our mission. Surely God, the divine mathematician has, once again in 2016, added so many blessings to Agape. We never cease to be amazed at His provision and goodness to us, and to our clients. I join with all of Agape s board, staff and volunteers and proclaim, I will give thanks to You, LORD, with all my heart. I I I will tell of all Your wonderful deeds! ~Psalm 9:1 Jo Markham, Executive Director with Mary Hawkins, Treasurer, signing the mobile purchase agreement Greg Meyer (left) & John Smith, Current & Past Board Presidents

Our Impact High school student Brianna came to us last year, fearing she was pregnant. After her pregnancy test was positive, she felt compelled to abort her child. Our Client Advocate gave Brianna a Before You Decide packet, and spoke to her about all the supportive services provided through Agape. Thankfully, Brianna was accompanied by her best friend, who also encouraged her to consider keeping her baby. The friend volunteered to attend classes with Brianna, and even offered to be there for the birth. Fearing her parents reaction, Brianna was still undecided, but after praying with her Client Advocate, said she felt a lot more hope than she had before coming to Agape. Two days later, Brianna texted back to say, thanks to her experience at Agape, she had decided to keep her baby. Fast forward a year later. Brianna recently returned to show off her beautiful four-monthold son. Her mother was much more supportive when she heard the news than Brianna thought she would be, and they are working together to help her and her baby have a future. Brianna is working and attending school, and hopes to find time to attend Agape s classes. These are the kinds of stories we love to tell: those that demonstrate God working in women s lives through Agape s efforts. Last fall, Jamie visited Agape for a pregnancy text. To her dismay, the test was positive, and she was convinced that her only option was abortion. In a broken relationship, she felt certain that neither the baby s father or his parents would offer any support. She felt alone and unable to continue her pregnancy. Jamie s Client Advocate encouraged her to come back a few days later for an ultrasound. We prayed, but were unsure if she would return. Thankfully, she did return for an ultrasound, and was able to see her little baby, alive and well, on the screen. Still undecided, Jamie left that day and again, we didn t know what she would decide. Several weeks later, Jamie called the center to let her Client Advocate know she had decided to keep her baby! She plans to attend Agape s Earn While You Learn classes while she prepares for her sweet little one to arrive.

Our Services In 2016, Agape was again privileged to serve young women with excellence and Christ-centered compassion. These services brought hope to the hopeless and the gift of life to young mothers and their babies. In addition, practical and spiritual needs were met as young mothers and fathers participated in classes where they learned about healthy relationships, positive parenting and more.
