There are so many of you who have stepped forward for the good of this wonderful organization and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. It is that time of year when we reflect on our past accomplishments and of our past mistakes, but it is with these mistakes that we have the opportunity to learn and grow. We have many new rules and regulations that are coming down from Supreme that affect all of us in our group activities and will be discussing them more in the future. 2019 has many surprises for all of us, but I pray that we all take the opportunity to spend time with our loved ones, and to also, think about what you can do to help our organization to grow stronger and be more active in our community. We have a wonderful opportunity to share our faith with our community and to show them the many gifts God has given us and them in their lives. I am very proud to be a member of the Au Sable Forks Knights of Columbus, you are a fine group of dedicated men. Holly and I wish you and your families all a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year and look forward to seeing you at Mass. God Bless and Thank You. SK Henry Coolidge Grand Knight 1
District Deputy s Message: My Brother Knights, As I am writing this there are 5 days left of 2018, as it is said in the First Degree Ceremony Time flies, Remember death. Well as we know time does fly and we should always remember that death is inevitable and around the corner. I say this not to be depressing but to be joyous and as a reminder that we must always be prepared. Being a knight has helped me to be a better Catholic and to be prepared for we know not the hour or the day. With the Christmas season upon us and a New Year just ahead let us all ask God to bless us with His grace that will help us to become stronger Catholics, stronger Knights and better men for our church, our families and our country. We ask this in the name of his Son and our Savior Jesus Christ, Amen. Merry Christmas and a Happy, healthy and prosperous New Year to all of you and your families. God Bless, SK Thomas McDonald District Deputy District 97 GOOD OF THE ORDER Please keep the following people and their families in your prayers. George Eisenhauer, Fr. Tom Kornmeyer and Fr. Deputy Grand Knight s Message: Brothers, As this calendar year draws to a close, I want to thank our members for your continued help in the various activities that our Council supports. Throughout the year we have had many opportunities to support our Parish and Church in various ways. Whether it be by serving at Mass and funerals or other functions, it is always good to see brother knights participating. Our Council s participation at the Living Rosary this past October was especially noteworthy. We had over 12 brothers in attendance. Thanks to all who participated. As we begin this new year, I am asking that you look at the talents that God has given you and see how they might be used to benefit our Council, our Parish and our Church.. May God bless all of you and your families.
