The Sacred Triduum and Easter celebration was, as it always is at St. Agnes, a time of deep spiritual reflection with sacred music that enables us to pray twice. Many thanks to the St. Agnes Staff and volunteers that made our Holy Week and Easter so very special. St. Ignatius of Loyola in the Spiritual Exercises asks us to note how the Risen Lord always comes as a Consoler. Jesus assures those he appears to, that with him comes Peace and Courage. How we all need these qualities in our life and world today. If we can only bring God s Word to others with a peaceful, rather than a strident heart. We need people who have found the God of Life in their own existence so they can transform this world. Let Jesus bring you his words of consolation. Ignatius also asks us to ask for the grace to experience Jesus joy at his resurrection. What joy Jesus must have experienced to realize that now he can be with everyone everywhere in his Risen Spirit. Jesus joy can bring forth joy in us. It always begins with Jesus. Let the Risen Christ be ever active in your life. We pledge ourselves to be a light in the darkness through the love that we share in the name of Christ and through the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit.

The Spiritual Life Center (1611 Oak Street) provides programs and services to the parish and larger faith community through educational programs, opportunities for prayer, and community events. Stewardship Prayer Lord and source of all gifts, I rejoice in the fullness of your generosity. I thank you for those whose lives are visible signs of your love and blessing to others. Give me the courage to do the same. Make me a good steward of all I have received generously sharing my time, abilities and material resources to build up your kingdom of love and justice. We ask this through Jesus Christ, in whom we begin and end all things. Amen.
