Jim This week marks about one-third of the fiscal year for the Archangels Catholic Cluster budget. All of the parishes in the Cluster are doing well in making their budget this year. Only one parish is behind a small amount. The other five are ahead (see collection information at the left of this page). Thank you all for your financial support these past four months! Financial support is important, but just as important is volunteer support. We will have a Time, Talent, and Treasure survey opportunity next weekend in all parishes. Please fill out the survey to keep the parishes active. Important Note: The weekend of November 18-19, Fr. Paul will be gone to the youth conference in Indiana and there are no substitute priests available in the area. This means I will do all six Masses that weekend. So, two parishes need different Mass times. St. James in Forest City will have a Noon Mass on Sunday and St. Patrick in Lake Mills will have a 4:00 P.M. Mass that Sunday, November 19. Your student may have heard about and/or seen flyers for an upcoming event at their FF classes called Silver Ring Thing. This is a FREE and local event! RCIA Expand and strengthen your faith of what the Catechism of the Catholic Church really teaches, each Wednesday from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. This week s Class, October 25, discussion will be: The Communion of Saints and the Blessed Mother National Catholic Youth Conference: NCYC is quickly approaching us! NCYC is November 16th-18th (we return home on the 19th). We have 48 teens and adults traveling to Indianapolis for NCYC from our Cluster. Please keep your eyes open for prayer cards (should be arriving in your parish the weekend before NCYC), and information on our live stream event! We are definitely in need of prayers from parishioners back home as we travel, hear great Catholic speakers and music, and experience Jesus and our Catholic faith on such a large scale. We are looking for donations of snacks for the bus and during the conference, as well as water/ Gatorade. If you are willing to donate snacks or beverages, please drop them off at the Faith Formation Office at St. James in Forest City, or contact Kayleigh Garcia (kayleighm@archangelscc.org/ 641-585-4856). Great snacks for NCYC include: snack size bags of chips/crackers, granola bars, trail mix snack packs, fruit snacks, really any individually packed grab and go snacks. If you are making homemade treats, please clearly mark them and put them in individual ziplock bags.
