Welcome to Abundant Life Bible Institute, a Ministry Training Center. As you read this course catalog, you will notice that we have placed certain courses in different TRACKS. These Tracks will help our students to determine how the Lord is directing their lives. For those interested in an Associates or Bachelor of Theology, this catalog explains the course requirements (for emphasis on Biblical Studies or Christian Apologetics). We encourage you to make an appointment with the Academic Dean to discuss with him your best course of action and the curriculum on which to focus. Be advised that some courses could change from time to time. We want to be sensitive to the leading and the direction of the Holy Spirit and we will add courses as needed and in accordance with our accreditation process. We desire to equip and train you for the work of the ministry within the Body of Christ so enjoy your journey. ACADEMIC PROGRAMS Accreditation and Affiliation Status of ALBI. We are affiliated with The Association of Biblical Higher Education (A.B.H.E.). Their accreditation is through the U.S. Department of Education. A.B.H.E. has issued the following statement: Abundant Life Bible Institute is an affiliate institution of the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE). As such, it participates in and contributes to collegial and professional development activities of the Association. Affiliate status does not, however, constitute, imply, or presume ABHE accredited status at present or in the future. Although our programs are not for those persons intending to build secular careers, ALBI will continue to seek to enhance its accreditation and this is part of that process. Our primary purpose is to be a ministry training center that will build up the students through information, inspiration, and impartation leading to a transformation. This being the case, our focus is not on the degree/ diploma one receives but on the TRAINING in Righteousness to which one attains (cf. 2 Timothy 3:16) Are ALBI credits transferable to other colleges and universities? This depends on the college, and virtually every school will give the same answer. We have a program of high standards, both academically and spiritually. Still, every college will tell you that if students are planning to attend another college before they complete a diploma program with ALBI they should contact the school they plan to attend and verify that they accept credits from the transferring college. 2
