BALACLAVA ROAD WORKS We are delighted to announce that the first phase of the works at the Balaclava Rd Campus will take place over the Queen s Birthday June 10, 11 and 12. The project commences with the removal of the Old Cypress hedge. As you would know, many of the branches are dead and their removal will allow in more light, creating a spacious feel on that Campus. We anticipate that the hedge removal will significantly increase the actual Junior Kinder play area once the works are complete. We are liaising with the Landscape team to ensure we can create a safe environment for both parents and our young students as they attend our Kinder. Together with our Head of ELC, Mrs Nava Miller, we are working on a strategic plan to ensure that our children are kept safe, have ample play opportunities and are not inconvenienced by the work over the two days of Kinder. We will provide an update next week once we have finalised the details regarding changes to dropoff and pick-up procedures. The next phase of the upgrade involves the removal of the old green fence and gate and their replacement with a much more user-friendly entrance to both the Shul and Kinder. Once the fence is complete, we will upgrade the Junior Kinder playground and finally, we will install the two new Kinder rooms in a brand new, architect-designed facility. This last phase is scheduled for the beginning of October 2013. We look forward to this exciting time at the Kinders and appreciate your patience and encouragement.
