Ministry Center Development Plan 387 Rt 52 Carmel NY 10512 on the move lakeview community church

Five years ago, the Lord surprised us when 8 acres and a 30,000 sqft building dropped on our laps! Since then we ve worked hard to maintain a strong relational focus. We ve also taken strategic steps to make use of what we ve been given as a platform for Kingdom impact. Each step has been a step of faith, and the Lord has continually shown Himself faithful - providing for our every need in astounding ways! Fall of 2017 marks the start of our next step forward. We re taking the time to lay out a long-term strategy to establish a full-time ministry center on our Rt 52 property. The project is called ON THE MOVE. It s based on when the Israelites were about to cross the Jordan to take new ground in the Promised Land. Joshua called them to fix their focus on the Lord and follow His lead. That s what this next step is about fixing our eyes on the Lord and following where He leads! The scope of this project is larger than anything we ve taken on before that s both daunting and exciting! It means we re desperately depending on the Lord to go before us and direct us every step of the way. God is up to something, and this is another opportunity for us to be part of it! Through diligence and prayer, our leadership board determined not to hire a conventional capital campaign consultant. We found their fund-raising methods to be out-of-sync with our DNA. We ve also committed to protect our corporate worship environment. We ve worked too hard to create an inviteable environment, so we don t want to turn it into a six-week infomercial. We ll mention it, but most of what will be shared will take place outside of our weekend worship services. I trust you ll be able to make arrangements to take part in them. ON THE MOVE is about heart, not hype. LCC has always been marked by Spirit-birthed gratitude and generosity, and we re trusting the Holy Spirit to move in each and every heart as we move in step with where the Lord is leading. Please take the time to look through this booklet to get more details on where we re heading. Let s pray together that the Lord will use what s done through ON THE MOVE to provide a platform for lifechanging ministry for generations to come! BRIAN MCINTYRE lead pastor Then you will know which way to go, since you have never been this way before. Joshua 3:4

OVER 1,200 LIFE & SMALL GROUP MEETINGS OVER 38 INDIVIDUALS BAPTIZED WHERE MORE THAN 20 STUDENTS & ADULTS HAVE BEEN ON SHORT TERM MISSIONS 37 AVG CHILD/YOUTH WEEKLY ATTND. IN 2017 WE VE BEEN OVER 4,000 LOCAL RESIDENTS ENGAGED THROUGH COMMUNITY TAG SALES OVER 650 SUNDAY AM SET UPS & TEAR DOWNS We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the Gospel of God but our own lives as well, because you had become so dear to us. 1 Thess. 2:8 MORE THAN $175K GIVEN TO SUPPORT MISSIONS BEYOND OUR CHURCH MORE THAN 1,600 COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS TREE CONNECTIONS HOW THIS WHOLE THING STARTED In spring 2002, a handful of people began meeting together to dream, pray, and plan for a new church that would engage people in the Putnam area with the Gospel message in a fresh new way. In January 2004, Lakeview Community Church launched at Carmel High School. Through the years, the Lord has been graciously at work building up a vital church community that demonstrates the love of Christ in substantive ways!

WHERE WE ARE CELEBRATIONS AND CHALLENGES Yes, the Lord has done great things for us, and we are overjoyed! Psalm 126:3 We re so grateful to God for everything He has done for us up to this point! We re seeing a steadily increasing stream of people who are... LOVING GOD in corporate worship GROWING TOGETHER in small group settings SERVING OTHERS in different ways REACHING OUT with Christ-like love and compassion... around the block and around the world! There is so much to celebrate! We also recognize the challenges involved with our current set up as a mobile church. Sunday mornings are a scramble - the worship team is pressed for practice time dialing in audio levels is a challenge for the sound team... parking becomes an issue during sporting events we get bumped to the cafeteria a few times a year we can t access the school s internet network. Everyone brings a whatever it takes attitude, but being able to operate out of our own space would do more than make things easier... it would afford us the opportunity to do ministry on a whole different level.

THERE S MORE IN STORE December 2012 - Assumed ownership of Rt 52 facility; Through an Open Door special offering raised $50k for property taxes Spring 2014 Completed 650 ft office space Spring 2015 Forward in Faith special offering raised $52k in 52 days to construct Commons Area Fall 2016 Commons Area completed Unexpectedly, in 2012, LCC was given a substantial facility with expansive acerage in a prime location! GOD HAS A PLAN AND A PURPOSE We realize that what we ve been given is not about us making a name for ourselves. It s about a God who is in the business of exalting His name and showing His people how awesome He is! He has a plan - to draw those who are far away and bring them near to Himself through the amazing grace of Jesus Christ. He works through ordinary people to accomplish His extraordinary purposes. As we look back on how much has already been accomplished in the past 5 years, it s clear that God has paved the way for His purposes to be accomplished. We look forward to what s next with that same confidence! The next page highlights some of the ways a full-time ministry center can help us take the next step and facilitate greater ministry impact.

WHERE WE RE GOING Countless architectural hours have gone into designing a strategic ministry center that will enable Lakeview Community Church to increase Kingdom impact. Over 140,000 people live within a 10-mile radius of our property. Most equate church with a building. The space will give us the opportunity to engage many who wouldn t consider attending a church that meets at a school. The trend today is for people to belong before they believe. LCC already has a contagious community. The design has been laid out to complement that - it s inviting and spacious, and there s plenty of space for people to sit over an open Bible and a cup of coffee, explore faith issues, and experience Christ-like community. AUDITORIUM 2,360 SQ FT SEATING FOR 287 PEOPLE MULTI-PURPOSE ROOM SPACE KITCHEN AND RESTROOMS EFFICIENCY KITCHEN W/ PASS-THROUGH WINDOW INTO COMMONS AREA MENS & LADIES RESTROOMS

I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some. I do it all for the sake of the Gospel, that I may share with them in its blessing. 1 Cor. 22-23 CHILDREN S SPACE 2,360 SQ FT CLASSROOM SPACE Children are a top priority for many who settle into this region to raise a family. We ve been blessed with a thriving children & student ministry. By investing in space for them, we ll have the opportunity to also reach out to entire families! CONTENT MANAGER CONTENT MANAGER SENIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER EXTERIOR IMPROVEMENTS FACILITY & PARKING LOT IMPROVEMENTS NEEDED TO ENSURE SAFETY & CLEAN APPEARANCE SENIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER The design includes lots of flexible-use areas that can be set up in a variety of ways throughout the week, plus be made available as a resource to our local community. And we re planning on giving the exterior enough of a facelift to make it a more welcoming sight to our neighbors. ON THE MOVE is so much bigger than us! It s about opening up an opportunity for countless numbers of people to make their way to a place where they can find hope, discover grace, grow in God s love, and experience lasting life change from the inside out - for generations to come!

HOW DO WE GET THERE? GOD S PART // OUR PART THE PRICE TAG The projected cost to get into the facility full-time is $900,000. We expect to wrap our current rent at CHS ($25,000/yr) into a mortgage of $500,000 (est. $30,000/yr). That leaves $400,000 as a faith-goal amount we are trusting God to provide through the people and partners of LCC. GOD S PART Our hope is fully set on the God who promises to supply all of our needs according to His riches in glory. We re trusting that the One who provided this space is also going to continue to pave the way for it to get built out to be used for His purposes. In the process we re expecting Him to surprise us as He shows us the amazing ways He provides! OUR PART God provides by empowering His people. So we re not expecting to fund this project through bake sales or bingo nights. Instead, we re simply inviting each person and family to prayerfully seek God for an amount to trust Him to provide through them. We know that God is in the business of taking what s entrusted by faith to Him and multiplying it in miraculous ways. WE RE ASKING EVERYONE TO PRAYERFULLY CONSIDER PARTICIPATING IN TWO WAYS... 1. GIVE A ONE-TIME LAUNCH GIFT This special offering will allow us to hit the ground running! Our hope is to be able to finish out the Commons Area restrooms and kitchen area right away. Both are needed ASAP as we continue to increase our usage of this space. Launch gifts can be received anytime up to Nov. 19th. 2. MAKE A 36-MONTH GIVING PLEDGE We re asking people to seek and trust God for a concrete amount to provide through you over a three-year period of time. The amount can be given weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly. Fill out and return the commitment card by November 19th. Pledge commitments begin January 7, 2018.

ON THE MOVE:: THE PROCESS October 14 - November 19, 2017 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all you need, you will abound in every good work. 2 Cor. 9:8 PLAN PRAY PLEDGE This booklet gives a broad overview of our future ministry center plans, but there s more to what we re doing than can be crammed on paper! So we re hosting a series of Dessert Gatherings in the Commons area from October 24th through November 2nd. Our goal is for everyone who s a part of LCC to attend one of these events. We ve chosen to set up these gatherings in smaller group settings of 20 or less, to facilitate both presentation and conversation. At these gatherings, we ll share the vision in greater detail, field questions, dialogue, and take time to pray. INFORMATIONAL DESSERT GATHERINGS (1.5 hr) Tues 10/24 7pm (Dessert) Sat 10/28 10am (Breakfast) Sun 10/29 7pm (Dessert) Wed 11/1 7pm (Dessert) Thurs 11/2 7pm (Dessert) One of the great things about being a part of a work of faith that is so much bigger than us is that it draws us to seek God in prayer, to dedicate ourselves to Him anew, and unite together as a church family around where He is leading. We want prayer to pervade every part of what we do. Our prayer team has scheduled specific times to come together in prayer throughout the six week initiative. November 6-11 will be a dedicated week of prayer, asking God to direct each individual s and family s participation in the project. The week will culminate with a 24 Hours of Prayer project November 10-11th. A key part of this initiative is the invitation to express a financial commitment by making what s known as a faith-pledge. A faith-pledge is an amount you are trusting God to provide for this project through you, over a three-year period of time. The amount we re able to give is often much more than we imagine when it s stretched out in a systematic way over three years. The specific number is between you and the Lord. There may be an aspect of sacrifice that goes into it. There may also be an aspect of trust for future opportunity and provision that goes into it. Since God promises to empower our generosity, it will be exciting to watch and see the different ways He provides so we can give. Pledge cards, along with onetime launch gift offerings, will be received from Nov 11th through the 19th. The sumtotal pledge amounts will help guide us as we make decisions on how to proceed with the build-out. PARTY On Sunday night, November 19th, we ll wrap things up in stlye with a celebration party! We ll gather together in the Commons Area for a time of festivity! We ll share some food together and we ll share the total amount pledged and we ll thank the Lord together for all He has done and will do! `

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS What if we raise more than the full amount? We believe that this is a real possibility! If the amount pledged exceeds the amount needed, it would give us the option to either decrease our monthly mortgage amount or increase the amount of space we build out. Will my contribution be made public? No. Your commitment is between you and the Lord. Only the total of all commitments will be announced at our Celebration Event on Sunday, November 19th. Should I redirect my normal giving to On the Move? Your participation in ON THE MOVE should be separate from regular tithes and offerings which are essential to keep our day-to-day ministries moving forward. What if we don t raise the full amount? It s been our experience at LCC that anytime God has called us to step out in faith, He s provided what we ve needed. We re expecting the same this time, but ultimately our hope is in the Lord - not in a specific dollar amount. If less than the full amount gets pledged, we would prayerfully seek God s will on how to proceed with what s been received. What about the Second Kent Church Building? We re currently waiting for the real estate transaction to make its way through the legal proceedings. We continue to pray for direction on how the Lord would have us use that facility and whether we would pass it on to another church or make use of it temporarily. We trust the Lord will reveal His will to us at the right time, and we re confident that LCC s long-term future will be at our RT 52 property. When would we start construction? We plan to build out the restrooms and kitchen in early 2018. We don t yet have a specific start date for the remaining construction, but the goal is to be moved in prior to the end of the three year giving period. Can I give electronically? Yes. E-giving options are available. Our church website has been set up to receive and track pledges and donations. Can I give gifts of stocks, bonds, or real estate? Yes. we are able to receive these types of gifts. Feel free to contact the church office for details on how to go about this. I have another question... who should I ask? Our Dessert Gatherings will have a designated time for Q&A... bring your questions and your appetite! Feel free to reach out with any follow up questions by contacting the church office,
