TODAY at 4 PM when the American Guild of Organists will meet at the Arroyo Grande Seventh-Day Adventist Church with a variety of music for the choir, organ, brass and handbells. 2 PM on March 29 th, Nipomo Presbyterian Church will feature a classical guitarist, the Maestro Brass, the Grande Ringers and the Christian band Soul Provider at Grace Bible Church in Arroyo Grande. We hope that you will join us! May 2, 2009, to the SLO UMC 4 PM to a concert of nine bell choirs including our own Grande Ringers. April 26 th at 1 PM in the McMillen Room we will hear from Grover Beach Elementary School Principal, Juan Olivaria in response to the $1,000 donation of the UMW to help in setting up a clothing and shoe fund. All are invited to attend. Coffee and refreshments will be provided. Save The Date of November 14 th for our Holiday Arts and Crafts Boutique and luncheon. We (all of the ladies of the church and any men who are crafty) will meet in the McMillen In the News Room Tuesdays beginning on March 31 st from 10 AM-2 PM for craft lessons, various projects and whatever else is required to produce items for this fabulous fall boutique. Join the families of Arroyo Grande United Methodist Children s Center for the annual School Beautification Day! Saturday, March 21 st, from 9 AM until noon. Our volunteers will meet here in the courtyard to do a make-over and cleaning, weeding, planting and various other odd jobs that are needed to make the grounds a safe and productive learning environment for its children, We hope that you will come and take part in another way of serving our church. All-Church Potluck and Game Night Please join us as we get together in Criswell Hall for a time of family fun and fellowship on March 21 st from 5:30 PM 8:30 PM. We ask that you bring a dish to share and your favorite game. There is fun for the entire family and bring a friend!! BIBLE SUNDAY MARCH 29 Do you have a Bible that has been in your family for generations? How about a newer Bible that holds special meaning for you? Or maybe your family s heritage lies in another country and you've been passed down a Bible in that country's language. Whatever the story, bring your Bibles to Criswell Hall between 8am and 9:30am on March 29. Tables will be set up for displaying these treasures. Print or write out a few lines on a note card about the Bible. Please use large print and keep it brief. Bible categories include: Oldest, Newest, Most Used, Most Unusual Language, Most Unusual English version, and Best Illuminated or Illustrated. Come and take part! Holy Saturday Breakfast on April 11 th at 9 AM. The Green Umbrella will host this special morning of food and fellowship as we prepare the way for our risen Lord. Bring your non-perishables for the Food Bank at any time and we will be sure it gets to the proper people. This is a great way to serve in local missions on a budget every little bit helps! Order Your Easter Lily We are now placing the order for the lilies for Easter. Please fill out the Order form enclosed in your bulletin. The Easter Lilies this year cost $10. If you are able to deliver Easter Lilies to one of our Shut-In members, please indicate and check the bottom box along with your name and phone number. You don t have to buy any to donate your time. Sarah and Sade Barber are well. Continue prayers for Victoria Gandy as she continues test for heart health. The Gerrish s daughter, Amy and her husband Dusk, lost their baby. Prayers for the family. Pray for comfort & healing for Ruby Weddell at AG Rehab Hospital. Prayers for Sally Ann Lynch s daughter-in-law, Janell, who has a brain tumor. Trudy Romanelli asks prayers for the Williams family with the passing of Kathryn. Betty Lorenz has shingles. Prayers for comfort and healing. Prayers for Sandy Underwood and family with the passing of her father. Michael Ballagh, son of Bill and Tina, had a seizure. Prayers for proper diagnosis and healing. Pastor Burgeson s cataract surgery was successful. Also, prayers for he and the team from the conference who will be traveling and doing a mission trip rebuild. Bennie Duffin asks prayers for an elderly member of the church who fell and broke his hand. Bernie Hawkins asks prayers for Mary. Praise Pat Motley is home after being in AG Hospital this week. Pat Weimers asks prayers for the Atkinson family in the passing of Carol. The Weimers also ask continued prayers for 10 year old Miranda whose experimental treatment for her aggressive cancer was unsuccessful. Prayers for peace, comfort and healing. Buffy Prestemon asks prayers for her co-worker s mother We are currently only funding our covenant missionary Judy Atwood in Kansas. Remember in prayer: Our missionaries serving God around the world; the leaders of our country; leaders and the people of North Korea, Africa and in the Middle East. Continue to lift up those serving in the military and their families.
