Take Victory Over Your Battlefield For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood, but against the despotisms, against the powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly sphere. Ephesians 6:12 Looking at this verse shows that our warfare is not with others, but with the satan and his demons. Our enemy attempts to defeat us with strategy and deceit, through well thought out planning and deception. He starts with bombarding our mind with a cleverly devised patter of doubts, fears, nagging thoughts, suspicions, wondering's, theories, and reasoning s. He has a strategy for his warfare. He has studied us for long time, so he moves slowly and cautiously. As he works through his plan he sets up strongholds in our mind, where we are held in bondage due to our certain way of thinking. Our mind then becomes the battlefield where we struggle. There are weapons to defeat this battle that God has given us. Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:31, 32 Jesus is telling us how we are to win the victory over the lies of Satan. We must gain the knowledge of God s truth in us, renew our minds with His Word, then use the weapons to tear down the strongholds. These weapons are through praise and prayer and the reading of the Word. Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians our weapons are not carnal weapons; they are spiritual. We need spiritual weapons because we are fighting master spirits. Jesus used the weapon of the Word in the wilderness to defeat the devil. Praise defeats the devil, but it must be genuine heart praise, not just a lip service. Renewing in the Holy Ghost daily is a vital role in this victory! Prayer is a relationship with God. It is having fellowship and a friendship with God asking Him for His help, talking to Him and thanking Him for giving you triumph. It is good to learn to fill your prayers with the Word of God. Listening to preaching, teaching, CD S, DVD S, reading books and holding private Bible studies are all good ways to learn about the Word, but if you take time out of your busy life and study it and research it out, God will give you knowledge of it. Thank God, we have weapons to tear down the strongholds. God doesn t abandon us and leave us helpless. God promises us in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that He will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear, but with every temptation He will also provide the way out. You may have some major strongholds in your life that need to be broken and tore down. Remember God is on your side. There is a war going on, and your mind is the battlefield. But God is fighting on your side. Our God has sent you to this place To lead us in the way That He would have us work and think And live from day to day. No matter the hour; whatever the need, You go the extra mile - Always ready and willing to share A comforting thought and a smile. We love and appreciate ALL you do! We're grateful that you're here with us To teach us from His word, And we will try to do our best In service of our Lord. We thank you for your ministry, Your guidance and your care. His greatest blessings for your life Is our most humble prayer. Spirit-Led Persistence, By Joyce Meyers What am I to do? I will pray with my spirit but I will also pray [intelligently] with my mind and understanding. 1 Corinthians 14:15 I really want to encourage you to pray persistent, persevering prayers by the leading of the Holy Spirit not mere repetitious prayers that do not come from your heart, but prayers that refuse to give up. It is possible to use your mouth to speak words of prayer that have no meaning behind them at all, and those prayers are nothing but dead works. I could quote the entire Lord s Prayer while I am thinking about something else, and that would not bless God or do me any good, but if I am sincere and pray from my heart, God hears and works in my behalf. Lip service doesn t do anything for God or accomplish anything in our lives, so even when we pray about the same thing over and over again, we need to be careful not to fall into meaningless repetition. Instead, we need to allow the Holy Spirit to lead us in a fresh way, even when we are addressing a subject about which we have prayed for a long time. Sometimes He will lead us to be diligent and persistent about a matter, but there is a difference between repetition and Spirit-led persistence. Words spoken in prayer that are not connected to our hearts are words without power. When we pray we should focus and concentrate on what we are saying. We should never merely verbalize things we have memorized while our hearts are far from God. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available (see James 5:16).

MY NAYC 2013 EXPERIENCE The North American Youth Congress 2013 experience for me was very fun and exciting but it was also a learning experience. I learned that I am not alone, that there are thousands of Pentecostals out there with problems like I have. I also learned a lot more about God and His promises for me. Where I feel led and also what I felt was a burden for my youth group and the city of Billings. Kayla and I both are led towards our youth and I think this experience pushed us to do something about it. What I got out of going was a much needed refreshing touch of God and a fire that will not go out! I feel much better about the way I do things and where I go with my life because I know whatever happens is in God s will and His timing is always perfect, for anything in my life. This experience is going to help my future by always bringing the sermons we heard to mind, to help me and give me strength. I also feel that our church is going to change and grow because of our youth. I have been praying for Him to use me, and this Congress has confirmed things for me. I give God the glory for what He is doing through me! Youth Dates for October October 11- Corn Maze October 17-19~ Youth Convention For You are my hope, O Lord God; You are my trust from my youth. By You I have been upheld from birth; You are He who took me out of of my mother s womb. My praise shall be continually of You.
