The 2017 theme is "Living as Missionary Disciples." We are grateful to those who have answered the call to serve as catechists and disciples in our RCIA, Family Formation, Children's Liturgy of the Word programs and in our school Religion Classes. Catechetical Sunday is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the role that each person plays, by virtue of Baptism, in handing on the faith and being a witness to the Gospel. It is an opportunity for all of us to rededicate ourselves to this mission as a community of faith. BIBLES ARE ALWAYS NEEDED The St. Bernard Jail Ministry, served by Deacon Phil Hettich, is in need of soft-covered Bibles. If you would like to donate a new or used (soft-covered) Bible, please leave it on the table just outside the Church Sacristy in the Checkerboard Room. If you have any questions, please contact Deacon Phil at 239-7464. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO SHARE CHRIST? Often, we think of Sharing Christ with others to be something that is done by those who serve or work for the Church. This call to be a witness to the Gospel is the role of each of the baptized. It is not done by going door-to-door... as the humorous cartoon depicts. It is accomplished by the way we live our lives and the way we interact with all whom we encounter. As the saying goes Preach the gospel, and if necessary, use words. Learn more about how you can accomplish your mission in our Sharing Christ Program, Mondays October 9 - November 20, 7:00-8:30 PM in the Checkerboard Room. No RSVP necessary.

CHILDREN'S LITURGY OF THE WORD (CLOW) Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) is a program designed for preschool aged children (ages 3, 4 and 5) to hear the word of God proclaimed at an age appropriate level.
