BSS Annual Giving Campaign Update Goal: $115,000 Total to date: $45,745 Participation Goal: 51% of parents will donate Currently: 12.57% of parents or 45 families have donated Last year at this time - 78 school families (21.79%) had donated $58,448.60 If you have already contributed, thank you! I encourage all to be part of the campaign. See the Annual Giving Campaign attachment for more information. LEGO LEAGUE The Jr. First Lego League participated in the Northern KY Lego Expo last Saturday. Blessed Sacrament was represented by 4 teams and 25 students: ROCKIN' ROBOTS -Jacob Brown, Evan Paul, Ben Purtell, Avery Stanley, and Devon Taylor NINJA PIRATE SPIES - Jack Moore, Matthew Igel, Brian Sumner, Evan Greis, Luke Broering, and John Paul Vinicombe TIME TRAVELERS - Reagan Garvey, Jonah Ikeda, Luke Salzman, and Andrew Wagner THE AMAZING LEGOS - Mackenzie Kessans, Gabe Purtell, Sarah Rice, Drew Yeager, and Alex Yeager The teams received awards for Best Model, Best Poster, Most Team Spirit, and Best Teamwork. Congratulations to the Lego League and a huge THANK YOU to the coaches for making this program a success - Mr. Brad Paul, Mrs. Kozue Ikeda, Mrs. Crista Yeager, Mrs. Mary Ruth Kessans, and our middle school coaches and mentors Nicholas Sumner, Fiona Blackburn, Declan Blackburn and Michael Kessans. 6th Grade Showcase This past Saturday the following students represented Blessed Sacrament School in the 6 th Grade Showcase Competition at Ludlow Elementary: Luke Hentz, Grant Hillmann, Julia Hughes, Kameron Kraus, Jake Langguth, Bekah Trunnell, Declan Blackburn, Lydia Bruns, Mackenzie Kingerski, Isabelle Morgan, Grant Neltner, Katie Schuh, and Liam Sweeney. We would like to thank all of those students for proudly representing our school, and we would like to congratulate those who received ribbons and medals. Our Quick Recall team took third place out of the 8 competing schools. Kameron Kraus placed 3 rd in math, Julia Hughes places 4 th in social studies, and Declan Blackburn placed 5 th in science. Way to go!

Simple Christmas Giving for our BSS Staff Please see attached flyer for more information Silly Christmas Sweater Day Blessed Sacrament is getting in the spirit of Christmas! On December 6th, we will be having a Silly Christmas Sweater Day. Regular spirit wear is always welcomed as well. The students must wear their uniform pants, skirts, or jumpers with the Christmas sweaters. Show your Christmas spirit and wear your wackiest Christmas sweaters! Remember the date, January 3, 2013 Students can wear jeans for Spiritwear Day Father Daughter Dance Save the date! Saturday January 26th, 2013 at 7:00 pm in the school gym More information to follow Advent Opportunity Have you made plans to go to Reconciliation during Advent? Not sure what to do with the younger kids while you go? The 7th grade Challenge Team has an early present for YOU! See the attached flyer for more information. Lost and Found Please check out and take home any of your lost items that may have found their way onto the BSS Lost and Found shelves. Families in Need Giving Tree Giving tree tags & Unwrapped gifts need to be returned to church this weekend or to school no later than 12/10. Thank you for helping Families in need. May God Bless You & your Family! Alive With Christ Wednesday s Holy Rosary Group Please join us after school on Wednesday s from 2:35PM 3PM to pray the Holy Rosary together. All Students are Welcome & Parents too! We will be praying the rosary in church during Eucharistic Adoration hours. So please be reverent to the Monstrance and to others attending Adoration. We will always provide 2 Virtus Trained Parents. Rosaries and material will be provided. Please see attached flyer for more information. Science Fair Judges Needed! It is time for all potential science fair judges to volunteer to judge the annual 7th Grade Science Fair on January 24, 2013. Science backgrounds are preferred, but not mandatory. Spirit Wear and Certificate Boutique Christmas is just around the corner and the Certificate Chicks are here to make gift giving easier. We will be stocking up our certificates and have Special Stocking Stuffer Spirit Wear including BSS Pajama pants for everyone in your family plus warm BSS Winter Hats! All other spirit wear on sale as well! Dates for the Boutique are December 6th and December 13th from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. in the Parish Center.
