3 VICAR s MESSAGE Beloved in the Lord, Christian Greetings. We as congregation of Immanuel Church of South India, Elizabeth, New Jersey are working on several areas of our faith and Christian life journey. I witness the fact each and every one of us are sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit. Every circumstance of our life is used by God for Him to reveal that He is the Perfect Person available to us in any situation to help us out. So let us make use of every circumstance of our life to grow and to come closer to Him and embrace Him as Lord of our Life. If you have given your heart to God through Jesus Christ you will not carry your worry but will cast them upon Him as Psalmist says Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved Psalms 55.22. I personally do not know your situation of your life in these days. I do know at-three families had a loss in their lives. Whatever it is, just believe that He will sustain you, stay in the course in the midst of loss, doubt, negativity, inability and failures. This is to say not to give up but to keep up the race. keeping her luggage on her head. And the conductor asked her to leave it down and the women passenger said I have not paid for the luggage. This is what lot of us do, knowing well that Lord Jesus Christ has paid for our guilt and failures and we do not have to carry the burden anymore, we still hold on to the heavy load of our life. We worry unnecessarily for everything small. This is what the second part of the scripture says to us, He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved
4 Righteousness is free gift of God to all of us through the atonement work of Christ on the Cross. Lord Jesus is risen. Lord Jesus has credited it to us and all that we need to do is to believe. Salvation by grace through faith in Jesus is the essence of Christianity. No other religion offers grace. They all require some type of works on behalf of the participant. So as Christian Believers, Immanuel Church Believers let us Believe in Grace that all our worries are taken care by Lord Jesus Christ. 5 News and Events Family Night : Our Family night was held on May 6 th Saturday, 2017 at 5 pm in the Church. The function was coordinated by Church youth leaders Ms. Ruth Sachariah and Ms. Sara Das. Almost all families came to participate and had a great time. Our youth raised more than 500 dollars through bake sale and donated to the Church Fund. Special thanks to Ruth and Sara who were the coordinators of family night and they planned effectively and it was well executed. Cottage Prayer Meeting : We had our monthly prayer meeting at the residence of Mr. Walter Das & Mrs. Regi Das at 5 pm on Saturday May 20, 2017. The prayer meeting was organized by our youth leaders Ruth and Sara. Special thanks to Mr. Nevin Mathew who lead the prayer and provided us a wonderful message. Special thanks to all youth who did share their thoughts through the testimony from their spiritual life. It was a touching prayer meeting for all of us. God bless our youths. Mother s Day : We have celebrated Mother s day on May 14, 2017. All of our mothers were honored with a special prayer during the worship service. We had a special lunch organized. The Children expressed their gratitude and love through their testimony in the meeting after the worship service. Mother s day gifts were delivered to all mothers during the meeting which was organized by Ruth and Sara. Special thanks to Ruth and Sara. God bless our mothers. Visitation from Toronto CSI Church : On Sunday May 7, 2017, Mr. Rennie Philips, Mrs. Preetha Philips and Ms.Ruth Philips visited our Church to invite us for the 31 st CSI family conference, 2017, Toronto, Canada. Almost 30 people signed up for the conference. conference in the history of our Church. Conference will be held July 6 onwards.

7 Sunday School Corner God is always on Time, Trust Him! See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? - Isaiah 43:19 An impatient person can never become a farmer. You cannot grow anything and get the fruits overnight. He has to wait on many things he actually does not have any control over. He has to wait for the rain. Too much rain can rot the plant and too much sun can dry it up. You just work hard to see it grow. And then wait..for how long..till the harvest. The fruit is so precious and therefore the harvest is worth waiting for. You might be in a waiting period too. Waiting to see God s promise to spring forth in your life. It might seem like many seasons have gone by. But God knows the perfect time. He knows when to send the former and latter rains. He knows the warmth it needs to grow. At the right time, you will see a tiny green blade pushing forward through those hard places. This long wait is just worth it. The enemy always wants us to get impatient with God. Don t let any circumstances steal your joy. Continue working and do everything you can while you wait for His promises.
