Parents should be registered and active members of the Parish. SACRAMENT OF MATRIMONY: The Bride and Groom should call the Parish Office at least six months before the date of the marriage. Please bring recent copies of your Baptismal certificate. Those under 21 should not set a marriage date until Diocesan permission has been obtained. PASTORAL CARE OF THE SICK: We want to assist those who cannot celebrate Mass with us because of illness, age or handicap. If you or a family member desires to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Eucharist or Anointing of the Sick at home or in the hospital, please call the PARISH OFFICE. In the event of an upcoming surgery, call the Parish Office to arrange a mutually convenient time for Anointing. By LAW, hospitals cannot notify us when parishioners are admitted. St. Michael s Faith Formation News Director: Kathy Burns (518)237-0370; (518)428-6353 Thank you to all who participated in the Children's Living Rosary on October 11 th. Wednesday Classes on October 18 th will have a short safe environment video mandated by the Albany Diocese. Please fill out the form that was mailed in your parent packet if you DO NOT want your child to see the video. Please direct any questions to Mrs. Burns. Children's Liturgy of The Word will begin again on Sunday, October 22 nd, at 9am. Our Children's Liturgy is usually held on the second Sunday of the month but was moved this month because of the renovation being done in the Church Hall. Our theme for the Children's Liturgy of The Word will be about giving our hearts to God. We will focus on the Gospel reading about giving to God what belongs to God. Saturday, October 28 th, will be our Youth Ministry Community Service visit to the soup kitchen. The schedule is as follows: 1pm 4:30pm meal prep, 4:30pm 5:30pm meal service, 5:30pm clean up. You may attend all or any part of the schedule. Please remind your child in Grade 6 10 to sign up for this very important work. Sign-up sheets and permission slips are available in class. Our Community Service events can also be applied to public school organizations requirements for community service. Please see Mrs. Burns no later than October 18 th for sign up. HERE'S WHAT WE'RE LEARNING All Faith Formation students were involved in the Living Rosary as part of their class time but we are also working on the following: Grade 1: God is Our Father, Learning the Our Father. Sticker charts are filling-up! Grade 2: Baptism, being a child of God. I am a child of God poster. First Confession review. Grade 3: Focusing on the Rosary and Our Blessed Mother. Grade 4: Hand-made Rosary craft. Each child will make their own Rosary. Prayer chain continues. Grade 5: We will discuss the Holy Trinity and how the world was created. Grade 6/7: Review of this week's Gospel reading. Continuing with Rediscover Jesus. Please ask us if you would like a copy of the book to read along with your child. Grade 8/9: Infant of Prague, discovery and dialog. Continuing with Resisting Happiness. Please ask if you like a copy of the book. Gratitude journals. Grade 10: Rosary making. Mysteries of the Rosary. Divine Mercy Prayer. Grades 6-10 will continue to experience Eucharistic Adoration.
