Even if you have not been able to join us for the first two sessions, please feel free to attend our final sessions, which will cover the following topics: May 19 - Why is the Amidah the central part of the service? When is it acceptable to change our ancient prayers? May 26 - What is the Torah service all about? Where does the Aleynu come from? Why is the Kaddish so important to us. JEWISH FAMILY SERVICE ANNUAL BRUNCH The Jewish Family and Counseling Service will hold its Annual Brunch on Sunday morning, May 23 at 10:00 a.m. at Congregation B 'nai Jacob. The honorees this year will be Stanley Silver of Hoboken, Myrtle Levy of Bayonne and Sid Pepper of Jersey City. Rabbi Brickman to Attend the CCAR Convention Rabbi Brickman will be going to Pittsburgh to attend the annual convention of the Central Conference of American Rabbis beginning on Sunday, May 23. The major item on the, agenda of this year's convention is ''The Ten Principles" for Reform Judaism. You may recall reading an earlier draft of the principles, which was published in "Reform Judaism" magazine. Join us for services on Friday, May 21 where you will be able to see the final draft of the principles and share your thoughts about them with the Rabbi as he prepares to cast his vote.
