To glorify God and love others through worship, study, and service. May 7, 2017 James A. Cason Senior Pastor Scott Harris Associate Pastor Worship Services: Sunday School: Sanctuary: Fellowship Hall: Classrooms: 8:30AM & 11:00AM 9:01AM & 11:00AM 10:00AM United Methodist Women Spring Banquet The United Methodist Women Spring Banquet will be held on Monday, May 8, 2017, with dinner being served at 6:30PM in the Fellowship Hall. All women of the church are invited to attend. Meat is furnished but everyone is encouraged to bring a side dish or dessert. Bring your food beginning at 6:00PM. This is a time of wonderful fellowship as we bless the prayer shawls and announce the 2017 Quiet Disciple. This year the program will be presented by the Statesboro School of Dance under the direction of Mrs. Shay Morgan. Most of the dancers attend SFUMC. We know that you will be blessed by this program. We look forward to seeing you as we recognize and explore our Summer Blessings. What s in our Little Red Wagons? Lots of canned items, cereal, peanut butter, rice, dried beans, any pantry items. we hope!!!! We would love to see every person in our church walk in today with one or more cans to help fill our little red wagons to overflowing. Let s all mark our calendars for the first Sunday of each month to help those in our community who need help feeding their families. The Food Bank works in partnership with our Saturday Soup Kitchen by donating items given to them. Several times a month we get bread, desserts, and fruit. This helps our church cut down on the expense of feeding several hundred people each Saturday. So, we would love to be extremely generous to them also. Hilda and Jim Dutrow have been faithful for so many years to deliver donations from our monthly food drives to the Food Bank. Thank you both!!! Eleanor Schneider and Karen and Tommy David will take over that responsibility this month. Hopefully it will take numerous trips to deliver all you donate. Also, all offerings left during communion today will benefit ACTS. Sunday, May 7, 2017 8:30 & 11:00AM Traditional - Rev.
