Archdiocesan Holy Hour of Prayer for Vocations to the Priesthood Sunday, June 10, 3:00 4:00 pm On June 10, Catholics throughout the archdiocese are asked to join in prayer for vocations to the priesthood in this archdiocese. One church in each of the three counties of the archdiocese will be the site for a holy hour of prayer. Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone will preside at the hour of prayer in San Francisco: San Francisco County: St. Cecilia Church, 2555-17th Ave., San Francisco (Archbishop Cordileone presiding) Marin Country: St. Isabella Church, 1 Trinity Way, San Rafael (Fr. Andrew Ginter presiding) San Mateo County: St. Matthew Church, 1 Notre Dame Ave., San Mateo (Fr. Tom Martin presiding). Early June is the time when the ordination of new priests would normally take place. As we have no such ordination this year, we will take this opportunity to beseech God to send us holy men to serve his people. If cannot be present at one of the three churches, please join in the prayer in spirit, wherever you are. The Archdiocese of San Francisco Office of Vocations has information and resources at its website, sfpriest.org. St. Patrick s Thrift Shop needs a few more volunteers! The shop is open for business Tuesday through and volunteers work 2, 3, or 4-hour shifts depending on the day. Volunteers also work on Monday, Wednesday, and to sort, price, and display donated items. Scheduling is flexible... some volunteers work once a week, some once a month, and some on call. If you d like to volunteer, or need more information, please contact Barbara Santana Cronin at 415-924-5393. Thank you!

Thank You to Our Choir St. Patrick s Parish extends our thanks to a group of very dedicated volunteers. We deeply appreciate the beauty our choir brings weekly to our Sunday liturgy. Under the leadership of our director Deborah Benedict and the musicianship of our pianist Daniel Savio, the choir, echoing the themes of the liturgy and the words of Scripture, helps us to pray and to take those messages into our hearts. That dedication includes not only the joy of singing at the liturgies, but also at least three hours per week practice, increased to six hours during the six weeks before Christmas and Easter; meetings spent in reflecting on the readings and choosing music that parallels the liturgies; attendance at conferences and researching internet resources to find beautiful new pieces; practicing at home (and even on airplanes); and, of course, countless hours of collating and refiling the music. And this is all done with the great delight that comes from serving in the music ministry. For all of this, we are deeply grateful. Church painting project We are starting our new project to refresh the interior of our church. Beginning June 19th and through July 20th, the church will be closed during the week with daily Masses in Healy Hall.
