There were 37 members present including several of our founding members. The founding members who were present were Jessie and Jackie Lisane, Horace and Jackie Kenan, John Stallings and his lovely wife, and Dwight and Wanda Dixon. We thank you all for your continued support and involvement in our club. In order to be a lifetime member you must maintain fifteen years of membership, and we have several of these members and several members approaching their 15 year anniversary. Terry Thompson, our president called the meeting to order and asked Jessie Lisane to pray to bless our meal. Jessie prayed for our club, our members, our nation, and asked God s blessing on our meal and our activities. We all enjoyed a delicious meal and the fellowship of our friends. The treasurer s report was read by Gloria Thompson. We have a balance of $1,221 in our account. Emily Griffith read the minutes of our July meeting and they were approved as read. Our annual All Ford Show is scheduled for October 10. It will be held in the same location as last year, in the K-Mart parking lot. We still need volunteers in many areas and if you plan to come and help please let Carrie Morrell, our show chairman, know what you are planning to do. We need more help at registration and will also need help as runners and at the games. Our hospitality trailer will be for our members, and the vendors for our show. Please plan to bring food and or drinks to share with those working the show. Emily Griffith will be the chairman of the hospitality area again this year. We hope that Jessica Goff will be able to be in charge of the games again this year. There are several volunteers ready to help you with this. Several of our members received awards at Mustang Week events in Myrtle Beach. Carrie Morrell and Glenn Thomas both received Best Mustang awards for their cars. Clint Morrell, Susan Edwards, and Sue Anders all received Awards of Excellence from Late model Restoration for their cars. Two of our members received awards at the Elizabeth Town Made in the Shade Show. Susan Edwards and JB Buell both received awards at this show. If you receive an award at a show please email one of our board members so that we can recognize your achievement in our newsletter each month.

Page 2 P O N Y E X P R E S S AUGUST ADVENTURES OF sencmc Several of our members are recovering from injuries, surgeries, or long term health concerns. We signed cards for Judi Mitchell, Nell Thomas, Rose Volpe, and Julie McCombs at our meeting. If you know of a member who needs a card and our prayers please email Emily at ggriffith@ec.rr.com, or any other board member so we can all be in prayer for them and get a card to send to them. We had two members present with August birthdays, Gloria Thompson, and Jim Cross. Happy Birthday to you both. Terry shared with us some events that are planned for the MCA 40 th birthday celebration in Indianapolis Sept 1-4, 2016. If you are interested in attending this please check on the MCA website for information and make your reservations as soon as they open as this event will fill up quickly and they will not make room for extra registrations. Our September meeting will be a cook out hosted by Jackie and Horace Kenan. The club will provide the hot dogs and hamburgers and drinks for the meal and each member is asked to bring a side dish or dessert to share. Bring your family favorites for a cookout or picnic. The meeting will be on September 19, beginning at 4:00 PM. Jackie and Horace live at 146 Willow Tree Lane, Teachey, NC 28464. The Wilmington members will meet at CostCo at 2:45 for a 3:00 PM departure, and the Jacksonville members will meet at the Wilco Hess on 24 at 2:45 and depart at 3:00. Our November meeting will be our trip to Myrtle Beach for dinner and the Christmas Show. A flyer to send your reservation for this exciting event is included in this newsletter. If you are an MCA member please take the time each month to check out the track events that are listed each month. MCA is making an effort to sponsor more track days and if you are interested there will be several within driving distance from our area. Several of our members are interested in holding another dyno day in November. The date for this will be determined later and everyone will be invited as soon as we have the details finalized. The 50/50 held $41.50 and was won by Sue Anders, the 50/50/50 was $20.75 and was won by Wanda Dixon and John Talatinian. Please remember we need door prizes and goodie bag items for our show. If you have items that will be appropriate please contact Carrie Morrell at puggizmo@yahoo.com and let her know. The meeting was adjourned and everyone was urged to drive safely and carefully on our way home. SEPTEMBER MEETING DETAILS Our September meeting will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the home of Jackie and Horace Kenan. Remember this is a Saturday meeting this month. We will be enjoying a cookout meal of hot dogs and hamburgers. Each family is asked to bring a side dish or dessert to share with our Mustang Club family. Thank you Jackie and Horace for opening your home and your hearts to our club.
