FEBRUARY 24, 2019 I THE SEVENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME My Dear Parishioners: What a challenging Gospel this weekend! Our Lord is calling us to live in a different way than those who do not follow Him. What are the attributes of a disciple of Christ? Our Lord tells us to love our enemies, do good to those who hate us, bless those who curse us, and pray for those who mistreat us. He tells us to give to anyone around us who needs, regardless of their ability to pay us back. He tells us to not judge others and to forgive everyone who wrongs us. Take a moment and look at each one of these attributes and ask yourself, When was the last time this was true of me? Also ask, Where in my life can I do these things this week? Following Christ is a high calling.
